Too bad the album isn't as good as the artwork. It's a fine album, but not as good as FOABP.

i prefer the incident, the only song on foabp that keeps bringing me back is anesthetize

i didn't read the Ygg one because i've not heard the album, but reading your Repugnant review, i might as well bring it up- i never understood why so many reviewers break down albums on a track by track basis instead of dissecting the thing as a whole and only mentioning the important tracks that go along with the points their making. it seems too awkward and forced to review every single track on the release, since people rarely can put a full paragraph into every song if it's longer than 6 tracks without using fluff.I've not had much new since last time I posted. Probably just the new Cosmic Crusader EP.
However I've recently become a reviewer for destructive music.
I've only got two reviews up so far, but I thought it'd be worth mentioning

Funny enough, I'd say Leitmotif is Dredg's worst album. (Not counting Chuckles because that one is pretty awful)
Whilst I can see why you think I did that, I didn't really. Certainly not consciously. I basically described the intro into the first track, and then the general sound. But then to show the contrast between Rapturous Genocide and the rest of the EP, I noted that the sound continues onto Morbid Ways, but Rapturous Genocide stands out like a sore thumb. And then the cover get's a mention given how it manages to stay coherent when one of their own songs doesn't. Plus it's a cover, they're always talking points. I think the fact that there's so few tracks meant it was hard not to mention them individually really.i didn't read the Ygg one because i've not heard the album, but reading your Repugnant review, i might as well bring it up- i never understood why so many reviewers break down albums on a track by track basis instead of dissecting the thing as a whole and only mentioning the important tracks that go along with the points their making. it seems too awkward and forced to review every single track on the release, since people rarely can put a full paragraph into every song if it's longer than 6 tracks without using fluff.
just a little criticism. :p
also the main comparison i've always made with Repugnant is a Schizophrenia era Sepultura mixed with lots of Swedish death melodies and such.
