You DO know that advertising for other forums like this is against the rules, right? Right.

Anyhow, I loved Metroid Prime 2. It was really fun, and took everything I loved about the first Prime, and multiplied them by 20. There was more stuff to do, and it just seemed a lot more exciting than the first.

Especailly since I might get in trouble since that is my board. Advertising is not allowd except in sigs and request by PM, but in the latter it isn't no longer advertising. (Example is person A (via PM) heres you have forums some how, and ask person B where it is; person B sends a PM with the link).

I thought is was fun, and by far the best MP yet, what the heck I just C+P my review in a sec, edit it in soon.

9.9/10
This fixed everything that was wrong with Metroid Prime. Ammo balanced Light/Dark/Annilighter beam. However there were a lot of glitches and the boost gaurdian was hard hard hard. But all-around a good game. However I was hoping that Multiplayer would have bigger courses. At least a course the size of Tallon Overworld's Landing area, small tunnel place and the big outdoor place before the entrance to Chozo Ruins West. But this is Multiplayer, and a first, so that will downgrade the rating by 0.05. The other 0.05 came from the glitches.

It was good.Probably an 8/10 It was long which is good and had a ton of bosses but there was way too much backtracking and the bosses dificulty wasn't completely balanced.Good for vets, annoying for people who are new.

Better then you
I thought it was pretty good and all...but I think MP1 is better. MP2 might have been longer but I still liked the old bosses in MP1. Take Meta-Ridley for example. Now that is a fight you won't remember.

Actually I do remember that fight. It was rather obvious that we would fight him there since you saw him escape and even fly around the drifts and that we never saw him anywhere else in the game and they wouldn't waste Ridley.
I do like MP better than MP2. They all have backtracking, that's what Metroid is about.

I prefer the sequel over the first. The Light, Dark and Annihilator beams were quite interesting but the upgrades for them were the best.

The final boss, the [SPOIL]Emperor Ing[/SPOIL], it's head reminded me of Yorkshire Puddings and it provided a great fight but my favourite boss was the Chykka in Torvus Bog.

They all have backtracking, that's what Metroid is about.
You can say that again.

I'm playing Metroid Prime at the minute. It's a truly excellent game, so very atmospheric and the gameplay is so addictive, you always want to know what's through that next door. The whole mapping system also kicks bottom.

Or if your wondering if your going to survive what's through that door....An example of this is the Dark Agon wastes with the Varia suit. A minute out there and your dead which is what made Amorbis a bit tricky

Yes, I love the sheer sense of horror Dark Aether gave you during your first experiences. Even after you get the Dark Suit, it's still creepy and keeping you on the edge of your seat. Nearly crapping yourself at the slightest hiss/roar/squish/etc.

MP2E kinda sucked compared to the 1st

MP1 9/10
MP2 7/10 <<<< (grudgingly)

Im excited for MP3

I loved this game, really. Involving, complex, and beautiful to look at. It took a rather cliché concept and made it brilliant, really. There was so much detail given to Dark Aether, it makes all the other lightworld/dakrworld games look shabby in comparison.

The Bosses were also excellent. Chykka was a great Boss, and Quadraxis seriously owned.

The normal enemies were also great. Try as I might, I can never really easily beat a Grenchler. Harder than Sheegoths in every manner. There are a lot of other enemies that quite easily outclass the MP1 enemies. The various Ings come to mind here =)

Also, Dark Samus owned. One of the greatest villains ever created.

Multiplayer was a bit of a letdown, yeah, but it was Nintendo's first go at it in a Metroid game. Limits considered, it was pretty fun to play with when you have friends over. MPH blows it out of the water, though xD

My thoughts on MP3: Heck, if MP2 was this amazing, I can't wait for MP3 :D [SPOIL]Dark Samus returning[/SPOIL] is reason to buy it, let alone the graphics bound to be superb and the climax of the trilogy destined to be excellent.

I completed MP2 yesterday. Took me about one year, since I ruined the first game by using a Walkthrough, I decided to not use one on MP2. I was a great feeling when I completed it. Samus looks weird though. Can't wait for MP3.

Lol. Posting things totally unrelated to the thread rocks. :)

Chykka was an annoying bastage to fight. Took me about four or so times to beat. -_-

Quadraxis wasn't really all that great. "Whoo. I'm the biggest Metroid boss EVER lolol." Big deal. A really easy boss battle, when you think about it.

The Ing Emperor...Now THAT'S a bad b*tch. :)

I completely agree.

Chykka was annoying. Quadraxis was just too step-by-step, too many scans to miss, too.

Emperor Ing was my favorite boss.

Eh, I found those two fun and challenging, though. Chykka was excellent because of its metamorphosis, which made it long and realistic. Quadraxis was dern hard to beat, in all of its forms.

Emperor Ing was bleeding easy, especially the third form. Far too slow to even pretend to touch you. Second one was probably the hardest, and even then, that's not saying much. He did have cool designs, though, but he's a final Boss. Of course he'll have more effort put into him.

This was a great game! Very good Bosses, tough i never did beat Emporer Ing! I gave up after i lost twice! 0.o i know a little soon, but it was hard.

I think the new weapons in this game rocked! The Annihalator Beam was my Favourite :D
