mew and running away

Metroid_Sniper

when i got my mew at the nintendo event, the guy who traded me mew (he was definatly a fan, so i know he didnt play a joke on me) said that he thought that wild pokemon would run from mew if they were lower-leveled than it. i know this sounds really n00bish, but i was just woundering if it could happen (im only asking because i do have my doubts). if this isnt real, does anyone think it would a good idea (not necassarily cool) to have wild pokemon that are alot levels lower than yours to run away from you?

thx in advance for any replies.

please elaborate why you dont think its a good idea. (i kinda agree, how would you train? i just wanted to see what people think of my random thought)

It's not a good idea. When training , you generally battle pokes with low-levels, and if they run away, you lose time.

And what if the low-level is a shiney?

It'd be like:
Aron (Shine)
Wild ARON appeared!
Go, MEW!
MEW used THUNDER WAVE!
ARON is paralyzed! It may be unable to move!
ARON fled!
You: DAMMIT!

You are using Ruby.

And you don't have Emerald.

And you used the Masterball on Latios.
