Mew in firered?

Since firered is the same as pokemon red then can i find mew in firered also? if not then where?

Mew cannot be found in Fire Red. Mew was given away at an event, but all events are over now.

about a year ago, there was an event at every toysrus in america and they where givin away mews(gameshark). i got one, but i traded it over to my emerald version. then about 5 months later, my emerald got stolen with mew still on it.

Where the hell did you get the idea they were cheated from? The Mews were a nintendo event.
