Well, here's the revised, slightly edited, somewhat spellchecked and etc chapter one of Mew and Mewtwo.
Enjoy.
Oh, rating is PG-13/R, just incase.
To many he was a god. Immortal. Everlasting. But to two, he had been a mate, and would have been a father. But thanks to the greed of man, he lost the people that worshiped and protected him, and the last mews. He really did not need protection, for he was immortal. But his mate. The last coloney of mews were slaughtered, and Axel was left to mourn this for many years.
For the sin of killing, and touching the shed blood of his mate and child as he avenged them, Axel's once pristine white fur drained to a dark, malevolent black. His paws became blood red, as did the end of his tail. Stripes of red ran down his back, proclaiming this Mew, that had once been pure and innocent to evil; Had both seen it and commited the acts of sin.
For long years that stretched into eternity, he wasted away. But never could die for how could an immortal perish? It wasn't as if he hadn't tried. But without him, the world could fall into chaos. So he stayed, drifting across time, enveying Celebi for the time travelers ability to skip through time, to see both past and future. But much like him, bound to this path and unable to do anything to change events to a more favorable outcome. What was, was. What would be, was unknown, for Celebi could niether speak, nor act on what he knew.
His sorrow was as haunting to him as the songs of the Lugia in the ocean. His fury had dulled over the years. For no matter how much he wanted to hate humans, the sins of the few, did not sin the many. And he was already being punished for shedding the blood of what sinners he had already slain.
He was prepared to spend eternity alone with occasional contact from other psychic legends, as he stayed in a mountain far from most. Deep in the waters there, sleeping for decades at a time. Trying to bide his time untill the world would end and he would be released, and finally not be alone anymore.
But years stretched on, and on. Blurring into decades. Centuries. Nearly a millenia.
And then the mew was shaken from his latest slumber by a tickle of something. Something so old he had long since forgotten what it was. And for a whole year it tickled the back of his mind, and it wasn't untill the mental scream came over him did Axel know what, and who it was. But by then it was too late to save her.
But the child!
Somehow they had been brought back to life, his mate was gone, he had realised it to slowly. But in his grief he felt the strong pull of the child. It still lived! His heart felt like it was starting to beat again. The child was alive, and he felt the life force it was giving off very well.
With an extra burst of energy he burst out of the water and zoomed off, heading towards the signal, so quick in trying to get there, he forgot to call out to his child, to tell it he was coming.
-
Axel may have been a Mew. And he might have been a god. But still he had his limits. He had to venture half way around the earth to where he felt the cry was coming, and that took time he had little paitience for. As he had to keep himself from being seen by humans. He had to keep his energy up enough to fly, meaning resting atleast once a day, for hiding himself from sight took alot of energy too.
He feared he'd be to late to where he felt the child's energy. And he nearly was.
Axel found himself hovering over an island, far off the coast of the closet land mass, Kanto. A volcano that lay dormand showed how it had come to be in this place, and small houses marked it was inhabited by humans. A lush tropical forest that once evidently covered the whole island now lay in small patches and dots. And amongst the ugly scars against the beautiful green, lay a large mansion like building, and the signals were coming from that, and strongly.
Circling in the air a moment, he dipped down and headed for the building, and just as he was getting to it, explosions rocked the building. Tearing holes in it and sending up pillars of flame and smoke. An increddible ammount of rage, hatred and loathing swept through the air after it, Axel found himself disorintated. What was causing this?
Axel only discovered the cause as he came in lower, spotting humans in white outfits screaming and running for their life. And chasing after them was then ball of malice and hate. Screams of terror filled the air as the door they had just fled through seemed to be torn right off it's hinges. A loud roar thundered across the open land before the trees the scientists fled towards muffled the sound to anything beyond it.
The being was tall, maybe nearly six feet in hieght. It's fur was a soft cream like color. it stood on two strong hindlegs that ended in a stretched out hind foot, and at the end three large clawed toes dug into the earth, while a fourth dewclaw like one lay a bit higher up than those. A long bulbed ending tail of amythist swished back and forth behind the enraged creature, as the five fingered hands clasped and the horned head was thrown back as another cry of anger escaped it's snarling face. A strong yet thin neck attached the head to the body, while a second, tube like growth attached to the back of the head and attached to the body just between the shoulders. It seemed like eather a mistake, or a possible support to the other neck.
But it didn't matter whichever it was for, as it just seemed to help add to the appearence and feeling that this was a monster that wanted to slaughter everything.
It seemed to understand the scientists were trying to flee from it, and it drew an arm up, black energy forming into a ball at it's fingertips before it was thrown with great force towards the escaping humans. They screamed again, sure that this would be their pace of death.
That is, it would be if Axel hadn't shown up.
A large barrier apeared between the humans and the lethal attack, and while there was an explosion and Axel wondered if he would come to regret saving the humans later, for now the attack had been stopped. And Axel now had the duty to protect them and everything else from the monster.
‘You’ It seemed to scream while spotting Axel as the dust cleared, and the mew's blood red ears twitched as he heard the gasps coming from behind him when the humans realised what had exactly saved them all from certain death. Though his attention was dragged away from that as the monster screamed another cry of ‘you’ and charged him, another glistening ball of dark violet and ebony energy crackling and snapping to life in the five fingered hand as it flew through the air in an arc towards Axel.
He didn't know or understand how the creature had come so close to him in the span of a few seconds. With it so close he couldn't throw up a barrier, and trying to attack would only cause him to be harmed also. Leaving Axel's only option: avoiding the attack all together.
Tumbling through the air with a squeak like mew, Axel avoid the attack. His red striped ebony body gleaming from the few bright flickers of light that came off the orb of dark energy. A grunt came from the monster as the hand and attack slammed into the ground, for a second nothing happened. Then it seemed the world exploded and the earth screamed in pain as it sandy soil was sent upwards and out around like some parody of smoke, pelting all with small rocks, broken turf and soil.
The monster grinned, bearing sharpened fang like teeth to the world as it hissed in victory, tail snapping back and forth as it eyed the cowering humans several yards away. Growling like some demon it started to advance, eyes begining to glow once more-
And with no warning a black and red shape bursts out of the ground, a snarl on it's face as blood red ears were pinned against it's head. With barely a sound outside of a loud crack of bone striking bone, the Mew landed a very strong headbutt attack against the monster.
It realed backwards, crying out in pain the creature stumbled back. It whimpered, holding a slowly healing jaw as violet eyes glared out at the smaller, more agile one with hate. ‘You,’ it seethed out, speaking for the first time. ‘I will destroy you! I your shadow will surpass you, Mew!’
Axel's blue eyes grew round from shock and surprise. No, no this couldn't be. This just could not be! But as the anger and rage washed over him, Axel felt the faint tug of the familiar feeling that had been drawing him here all along. And all he could do, was stare in shock and horror, at what had become of his child.
What had those humans done to his baby? But his time for thoughts was interupted as with a bellow of a roar, the child charged it's parent.
The battle that ensued seemed to favor the monster before, and now when Axel wasn't even going to attack it, the creature had an even greater advantage over the small black form. The monster almost howled in delight at this as it swung at Axel, trying to break him with a punch, or destroy him utterly with one of those blasts it seemed to throw at him every few minutes.
But Axel couldn't bring himself to lift a paw and strike this creature. That he had found out to be his own child. Yes, the child was not in the same form it had been when inside his mate's womb. But here, here it was still alive. Still, if Axel squinted just right, retained enough mew-like appearence to be dubbed a Mew.
To an extent.
But still, those humans had twisted his daughter into something that most would scream abomination at, and inwardly he weeped. For if he had mistaken his own child for a monster, what would others think of her?
He was pulled sharply from his thoughts as the ebony mew was forced to dodge another series of attacks, barely scraping past them with enough space to save his fur from being burned off, or ribs and tail broken.
‘I am your shadow, you're better, I am the moon that will drown the sun! Face me Mew! Face me, and die!’ She screamed at him, launching herself into the air with powerfull hind legs. Not realising yet that her psychic energy would allow her to fly like Mew.
Which saved Axel's life as he tumbled out of the way with grace only a mew could ever hold, and threw up a bubble shield that caused the attack that his offspring threw at him to bounce off and away, somewhere. Axel didn't really care right now as he tumbled again to avoid razor like claws wanting to rend skin and flesh from bone.
Axel ducked and weaved about, barely avoiding other attacks untill he fumbled and five claws shreaded his back. A tormented cry of pain escaped Axel before his body quickly started to heal, thankfully he hadn't lost too much blood from the attack, but it was still a close call.
The ebony cat like pokemon whirled about with a warbled battle cry, but couldn't block the assault the tormented child brought down onto his form. ‘YES! DIE! I your superior will surpass you and rule this world!’
You are not my better child, Axel gasped out, blood starting to leak into his lungs and burn as he started to drown alive from the internal bleeding that was slowly righting itself.
‘If I am not your better weakling, then what am I!?’ It snarled out while striking Axel again, once more causing the Mew to feel afire from the agony attacking his mind.
You ... you are my daughter, Axel whispered out, dulling blue eyes starting to close. There came shocked silence before another snarling erupted from the ‘monster’.
‘I am not some weak things daughter!’ Axel's daughter snarled out, throwing Axel away and allowing him to slam into the ground harshly. He bounced once before rolling to a stop, gasping for breath as his broken body trembled from pain and holding back what the darkness inside screamed for him to do. Closing bright blue eyes, Axel focused on pushing himself upright, ignoring the pain that surged through his body like living flame.
‘I am not your offspring, I was made to be your superior! And I am superior to you, and everything alive!’
Axel's eyes opened slightly, a tendril of something was coming off the Mewtwo. And he feared at what it would be. And as the blue orbs focused, and the child of Mew came closer, Axel saw what he had felt. Darkness was starting to try and catch hold of his child. Already it was finding a bit of purchase on her ... if he didn't do something soon, Axel would lose his daughter to the madness that had already tried to take him, and the three birds.
With a sharp cry he attempted to launch himself at his daughter, to try and knock the darkness away. To save her from the insanity of the abyss that threatened to open up at her feet and suck her in. But he forgot how broken he was and the battle cry turned into a mewl of pain as Axel slumped onto the ground. A black and red lump of shivering, pained flesh.
The creature grinned and approached the fallen mew. ‘You are going to diiieee,’ she stretched the taunt out while raising a hind foot, bringing it up and over as if to step upon Axel and squash him. But before she could finish the mew off, her attention was turned away from the fallen mew and she snarled. Her other ‘prey’ was getting away. With a roar she forgot about Axel and charged after them, already powering up a powerfull and concentrated blast of energy.
Tears from pain leaked out of Axel's eyes. Or it could have been from sorrow. Maybe both had a part in causing Axel to shed the salt water from his eyes. But whatever had caused it, it didn't matter to Axel as slowly he attempted to force himself up. Trying to get himself to move. He had to save his daughter.
Axel attemped to get to all fours, though it failed. His limbs gave out on him and left the black mew to fall to the ground with a thump and lay there in a heap like moments ago. An ear twitched, he had heard a scream, but it seemed to be more of a frightened one then one that had been killed. But it was going to happen sooner or later and Axel could only lay there. Just let me die, he thought, sorrow once more attacking him. I have failed again, just let me die, and with that his tired mind slipped into darkness.
But Axel was a god, and even if he wanted to die, he couldn't. But torment and pain could still attack him. Could still drag him down. Could still haunt him with images of the past.
Enjoy.
