there is this guy in cerulean city who says "THere is a mysterious pokemon here and an ancient item" he uses itemfinder and It Beeps Whats That All About?
Just to clarify, you need to go all the way over near Cerulean Cave on the thin strip of water. Once you get near the man, use the itemfinder. Just follow it to find the Beserk Gene.
Go up the Nugget Bridge and go to your left. Then surf down the side of the cave and press A at the little turn. Actually, press A in all directions untill you find Berserk Gene (sp?).
