Mewtwo help in LeafGreen

Can somebody give me the best strategy for catching Mewtwo in Leafgreen? He keeps on destryong my top pokemon, he always recovers when he has low health, and everytime I use an Ultra Ball( I want to save my Master Ball), he escapes easily! can someone help me please?

Use Torment to stop him from using recover, and do the usually,damage paryalse put asleep, but i tend to catch them in the yellow as they get freakishly strong when they're in the red.

Torment doesn't stop recover. Taunt does.

Ok I got him paralyzed(SP?), and he's down to practically 1HP. I throw an Ultra Ball at him and what does he do? Freaking escape!!! That's the 13th ball I threw at him. Oh well, 50 balls left.

It's better to use it on Mewtwo or one of the birds because the Raikou, Entei, or Suicune you encounter in FR/LG has a set Nature. You could wind up wasting your Master Ball on an Adamant Suicune or Relaxed Raikou or something.

When you see him, save. battle, then affect him with status condition and damage him. Throw balls when he has low HP. if he faints or defeats you or you run out of balls, just turn off and try again. I caught him in ONE ultra ball after some restarting!

I would save my master ball for the legendary dog. Anyways, just do what Shooting Star said. IMO, I'd go for paralyzing him, hit'em until he's low on HP, get a pokemon that knows False Swipe, then hit'em until he's down to 1 HP. Then keep throwing Ultra Balls.

I suggest the classic Master Ball technique. If you don't care for that, Thunderwave and False Swipe.

Trade over from which game?
In every game, there are pokemon that almost MUST be caught with master ball, and mewtwo is NOT one of them!
I had just poke/great/ultra balls when i chased and caught Latios, and i dont want anyone else to come in that situation!
Poof! After my chase someone i know restarted the game by mistake and Latios were deleted...
