Mewtwo not appearing in any other future anime episodes at all?

I know that Mewtwo have appeared only in fewer original anime series episodes, until he has escaped from Team Rocket? Why do you think Mewtwo, alongside its branched Mega Evolved forms, never appears in other future main anime TV series episodes?

Why would it need to appear? It’s had several movies/specials dedicated to it and there’s not much you can do for its storyline. TR barely appears in the anime and when they do show up as an organization, they tend to focus on that generation’s Mythical/Legendary Pokèmon (Meloetta, Forces of Nature, Necrozma). Rainbow Rocket could appear with some exposition revealing Giovanni has Mewtwo but besides that, there’s not much

One of the AG movie openings shows Mewtwo with a cape overlooking a city. Then after that there was another opening that showed Mega Mewtwo X I think....it's pretty much implied the original Mewtwo is just observing humans from afar traveling around.

There are 2 aspects to this. The first is that there are several legendaries and mythicals who have not appeared in any episodes, so it's not just a Mewtwo thing.

Secondly, unlike other legendaries and mythicals, there is only one Mewtwo, and each additional Mewtwo needs explanation (like M16) as to how it exists, meaning that unlike random appearances like Darkrai in XY&Z05, or Marshadow in SM057, this simply isn't possible with Mewtwo.

To this day Manaphy has never appeared in an episode of the anime, and we've never seen one since Movie 9. I believe it's the oldest legendary now that has never been seen more than once.
