Okay, Mikaruge is one of my favorites, and is going to be a permanent part of my team, so can you help me decide on some posible movesets to aim for?

Well:

Mikaruge@Leftovers
Modest
Scheme
Pain Split
Dark Pulse
Psychic

Mikaruge@Leftovers
Calm
Pain Split
Will-o-Wisp
Taunt
Ambush

Well... Its Sp Att and Att are the same, so it can be either sweeper.

It can use better Special attacks though, so I'll try out a Special Sweeper..
(I'm not doing natures and EV's and stuff yet...)
Mikaruge
Scheme
Dark Pulse
Shadow Ball
Psychic

All out sweeper. Maybe throw in whatever recover move it has.

No weaknesses and OK defences, lets do those.
Mikaruge
Pain Split
Will o Wisp/Toxic
Shadow Ball/Dark Pulse
Taunt

Um. With Mika's low speed, a pain split on a predicted attack will usually have the other Pokemon attack, hopefully bringing your HP lower, so it will recover health. Also, if you taunt on the first turn, hopefully they won't use stat-up move, then you can keep on using Pain Split, because they'll keep attacking. Shadow Ball or Dark Pulse for STAB, choose for which type coverage you want. WOW or Toxic for whatever you want to do with them.

Thats all I can do for now..

Thanks! I will be taking note of those and wait for some other thoughts. Also, I really do NOT want natures. I don't want to spend that much time (Considering the fact it is so strengous to capture him) trying to get the perfect nature. I don't really care about them.

Ho-oh, Supreme Ruler
Dark Pulse
Pain Split
Shadow-Ball
Toxic!

This is my moveset and it works.

It works, sure. But it could use some help.

First of all, replace Pain Split with Scheme. How can you have a Special Sweeper without Scheme? And what would you do with Toxic? Poison them so they can switch out? Leave Toxic to Umbreon. DPs metagame is offence-based, unlike the 3rd gen, where it was all about stalling. That's why SkarmBliss is dead now. Replace it with some other Special Attack. Try Psychic, or maybe even Water Pulse.

Mikaruge is **** slow, it really won't be sweeping too often with scheme. you're better off with calm mind which suits its more defensive nature.

I don't understand why you want Pain Split on a sweeper Dragontar911. Leave that to Dusclops. The first Moveset is better.

When you build a sweeper of any kind you want Power + Speed.

Mikurage has a better Def / Sdf at <108> then Att / Sat at <92> so it's much better off trying to Tank. Not to mention it has no Weakness so those Def / Sdf #'s really stand up.

If you compare thier base stats it'll give you the reason to use Pain Split because they are very similar. Both have Low HP / Spd with Good Defenses. You can use it like a sweeper but sweepers should be fast. This thing would really benefit from Trick Room but alas it doesn't have access so i would go the Tankish route.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This will be the moveset i use...

Mikurage
'Pressure' : Opponent uses 2 PP instead of 1 per move.
Nature : +(Def / Sdf) / -(Sat / Spd)
* Ambush
* Taunt
* Will-o-Wisp
* Pain Split

He should be used as a specialized killer coming in on a <Schemer / Dragon Dancer / Sword Dancer / etc.> and Taunt them into a Pain Split war and finish with an Ambush.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* I'd use Careful:<+Sdf / -Sat> as a nature since Will-o-Wisp can take the edge off of Physical Attacks. I'd also like to point out this guy is definitely gonna be part of my first Pearl team as he is very cool. He's everything Sableye should've been but wasn't. Good Taste.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm more defensive minded to start with but if you want to make him a sweeper you can go that route too. I just don't think that his stats indicate he's more effective that way.

But just for the record when the <Def / Sdf> is about 2x as big as the <HP> then Pain Split is hella effective. Especially on a poke with 0 weaknesses.

why is skarmbiss dead

Tyranitar Stone Edge 2HKOs Skarmory (and obviously Blissey). Skarmory never liked Focus Punch; now Stone Edge and In Fight are everywhere, it isn't as reliable a physical wall as before.

Perhaps not as scary as they were, but SkarmBliss is in no way dead. Combine SkarmBliss with Kabarudon and you wall almost everything.

DarkSpectrum

Shadow Amongst Light
hhhmmmmm...
dark pulse
psychic
shadow-ball
shceme

or

dark pulse
painsplit
scheme
shadow-ball

dark pulse and shadow ball cover the same types advantages and shadow ball won't work on normals so go dark pulse and most certainly don't do both.
Psychic really doesn't give you anything as W-O-W'ing a fighting type would be more of a problem than worrying about wasting a moveslot for psychic.
And mikaruge is weak to fighting type attacks when used by something with a foresight/odor sleuth move or a Miltank/khangaskhan with bravery..... not like you'll see it often but you should be aware of it even though everyone says it has no weaknesses.
You should also be aware that ghost/dark types have very few resistances. Pain Split should work well with this though because (with such a low HP) a good hit from the opponent (with a decent HP) will allow for a large amount of total HP to be restored.

The thing about that moveset is WoW just kills the purpose of the other moves...unless you are setting your sights on Heracross or Ursaring (or other popular Guts users). Although, Hera resists Ambush, so that is a moot point. Consider Freeze, to screw their Lefties, or Calm Mind to tank up a little.

I like

Mikaruge @ Lefties
Bold
Calm Mind
Shadow Ball/Dark Pulse
HP Fighting
Hypnosis/Pain Split/WoW

I don't use this (yet) because I'm trying to figure out how to breed for a HP I want.
