Milotic vs Starmie

Which water pokemon should I train? Starmie is faster but milotic has way better defences?

I'm guessing you didn't read This. Anyway, I would definately go with Milotic. It has a lot of HP, great Defense and Special Attack Stats, and it's pretty fast, too.

Milotic, FTW. With high hp and defenses, it can survive attacks long enough to sweep with surf, ice beam, and the occasional mirror coat. If it takes on too much damage, recover. Yes, starmie is faster and has a wider move pool, but milotic can beat starmie in a battle. It is rather fragile, so it does not have the option of recovering.

Milotic can also pull a Hypnosis and has the defenses to miss

milotic! definetly! in case you dont know how to get milotic you have to beat grand festival in order to get him/her!

It isn't a very good comparison being that the two Pokemon serve completely different roles, but I like Milotic more. The only reason is because I prefer a Lapras with rest as opposed to a much less defensive Starmie for a special sweeper spot.

Milotic is a bulky water. Starmie is a special sweeper/ Spinner.
If you need a quick sweeper, choose Starmie.
If you need something to take hits, choose Milotic. It depens on your team.

1: You do not have to beat the "grand festival" i.e. master rank contests to get milotic.

2: Milotic has survived a STABed T-bolt from Jolteon. It had 200 HP and T-bolt only got it down to 98. As you know, jolteon has a 110 base special attack, 10 points higher than starmie's, not to mention stab that starmie doesn't get on T-bolt. Obvoiusly, Milotic is better.

Yeah, but who wants to spend an hour looking for a Pokemon that needs Max Beauty to evolve? [sarcasm]In my eyes, a crazy person.[/sarcasm] Honestly though, I always pick the sweeper over the enfeebler/tank.

I´m changing my mind with Starmie, I won most gold symbol with it, but after FM´s opinions (About ST Milotic) I think Milotic much better.

Starmie can learn more moves than Milotic but Milotic has better defences and attacks(i think) so I will say Milotic.

[Sarcasm] Ooh! Starmie can learn thunder attacks. Wow![/Sarcasm] Who cares? A faster pokemon could beat starmie easily, or a slower defensive one. Milotic can actually survive long after taking a hit. If that hit is special and you predicted it, mirror coat!

If your planning to put one of these in your team then pick milotic, Best defense, If your using one against battle frontier then go with starmie.
