Miotic IMO is much better, Marvel scale + great defenses is awesome! also she has a great movepool, a better looking and a better pre-evo.

Gyrados is strong too, but this just after a Dragon dance...

Gyrados. Both are good, but Magikarp sucks so badly that you feel a great sense of accomplisment when it actually evolves.

Milotic may not cet gyarados's special tms, but gyarados doesn't have the sp. atk to pull them off. Milotic has recover and marvel scare. Don't forget that milotic gets egg moves.

Milotic. It can just put Gyarados to sleep with Hypnosis and it it with Ice Beam, which should KO it in around 5 or 6 hits. But, of course, they Gyarados could wake up and do some damage to Milotic.

So, in the end, it all depends on luck, but the way I see it, Milotic wins most of the time.

Uhh hello. I can't believe your even asking this. And you people should know that Milotic is WAY better. It pwns Gyarados. I believe it has a much better movepool and it has way better stats...well not way way better but still. Gyarados beats it in attack but Milotic has better Special attack and defense. Both their HP, defense, and speed are the same. But Milotic can beat Gyarados. I know, i just beat Wallace's lvl 56 Milotic with my lvl 53. Milotic. I was training it in the pokemon league. O yeah, Milotic's twister is a plus.

There is no clear winner. It just depends on the situation. A lv.100 1HP salac berried Medicham w/ reversal can own a team full of Milotics, but it will have trouble w/ Gyarados' flying trait. But if a Gyarados faced an electric attack, it is a OHKO right there. But Milo might have a chance of using mirror coat if it survives to wipe out the attacker. There are all sorts of stuations for these 2, so there is no clear winner. It just depends on the person and the rest of the team.

Well, if you got those 2 in a fight, then Gyarados will most likely have the win. Just max out speed and sub-flail away. Milo won't know what hit it. Gyarados's max speed is 287. Milotic's is the same. But not too many people focus on speed in Milotics. They just give it max HP and the rest to it's defenses. Gyarados, however is designed to be a sweeper. People usually give it speed and offensive EV's. So a Gyarados will usually be faster than Milo. With the sub-reversal moveset, a Gyarados can substitute before a Milo can confuse or hynosis it, which gives Gyarados the edge. If things go well and Milo can't keep up with Gyarados before Gyarados substitutes itself to 1 HP, then Gyarados' Flail attack will 1HKO a Milotic no matter how much HP Milotic has remaining.
