Miraculous wins

The magic of Pokemon
Have you ever pulled off a win when you seriously thought you were about to lose?

Back in my early training days, I worked with my Blastoise until he was around lv. 40-something. He bulldozed every trainer, while most of my other Pokemon-save for a Pikachu-gathered dust.

I eventually faced Gary in Silph Co. (I was Ash) and my Blastoise clobbered Gary, and even managed to get his Venusaur down to the yellow zone until he fell, defeated.

My Pikachu (forgot what his name was) got him down to the red zone, but he too fell. Before long, all I had left was a lv. 12 Bellsprout.

I sent him out, knowing that "GAME OVER" was probably in my cards.

Gary's Venusaur kept trying to poison me, but it missed every time. So a lv. 12 Bellsprout single handedly brought down a Venusaur! I was very relieved when that battle concluded.

I remember one clearly.

I was in the Battle Palace when it happened. I was one match away from facing Spenser. I was facing a Girafarig with two of my Pokemon, and two of his (Or her, can't remember), knocked out. I had Regice at low HP. Girafarig used Stomp to waste what little HP I had left. I was done. Then, to my suprise, Regice's Focus Band Kicks in and I was able to knock Girafarig out. I was lucky, if Focus Band hadn't kicked in, I would have lost to that guy.

Although, in the end, I ended up losing to Spenser

my "win" was my team against gary next to Viridian (blue version):

my team was doing great until his Alakazam defeated 3 of my remaining 4 PKMN. I had fogotten that i caught a Caterpie (for my friend) and it was still in my party. It at least had full everything, but only lv. 4 (maybe 5) it must have been that the AI was REAL weak bak then, but it kept using Reflect! I kept chipping away at it, but it recovered health 2 times so i was down to struggling it. Luckily i was prepared for the battle and had 99 potions, and used none on my other PKMN. I had barely beat it, and Caterpie then grew to lv. 17!! (dont believe it? true.) next up for my rival: Charizard. The poor, poor caterpie, it died in 5 turns. first charizard uses fire spin, misses. Same for the next 2 turns after. The uses fly, BOOM next turn dead. Technically not a win, but preety funny poor Caterpie ;.;

The Power of Pika

Way Past Cool!!
I was facing Gary in Leaf Green. It was against Blastoise the last Pokemon. He literally wiped out all my Pokemon. Except for Rattata. I had nothing good against him that you could say would stand up to an attack(stupid me). Blastoise had full energy. I used the turn on Rattata to Revive one Pokemon. I had to choose wisely because I only had one Revive left. I had used a lot up earlier in the battle. I chose Pikachu because it was the only one I had that was good against Blastoise. Though I didn't expect it to win because it was only on level 45 or something around there. I used Thunder because I thought it was the strongest attack I could use even though it's accuracy is not that good. Blastoise wasn't using rain dance or anything like that which meant the inaccuracy was going to be my disadvantage.. So Thunder was used despite inaccuracy then Pikachu got in first with Thunder, Thunder hit and got a critical hit. Blastoise got knocked out then battle finished and I won.

Pikachu wasn't effort valued trained and I never checked IV's. It didn't even have a lightball. That was definately a once off. I was rushing the game through and so I entered with under leveled Pokemon. My Charizard was the only one that was on a decent level. I had never sweated as much as I did that day. I was laughing afterwards trying to get used to what had just happened.

Nothing to be done
This isn't a win of my own, but I beared witness to it, and it was pretty damn miraculous. Last year a kid brought his old Red version to lunch, and he was at the final battle against his rival. People had gathered around to watch him play. It came down to this:

His remaining monsters:
Pikachu with about 1 HP left.

Rival's remaining monsters:
Pidgeot at half health
Blastoise at full health

He managed to use Pikachu's last Thunderbolt to subdue the Pidgeot. All seemed lost. However, Pidgeot provided just enough EXP for Pikachu to level up and learn Thunder. He got in the first, critical hit, Thunder against Blastoise and won.

This story might seem very similar to The Power of Pika's, except this one is much more amazing in that Pikachu learned Thunder at the decisive moment.

When I was in the Battle dome against Tucker, he had brought his Salamence and Charizard while I had Lanturn and Sceptile, my Lanturn got knocked out by Salamence, but Salamence had low HP (Because Lanturn managed to use ice beam one or two times before it fainted.) so Sceptile could knock it out with thunder punch. Then Tucker sent out Charizard. I used thunder punch and paralyzed Charizard, Charizard couldn't move. I used thunder punch again, Charizard still paralyzed and couldn't move. I used thunder punch again and Charizard fainted. That's how I got my third Battle frontier silver symbol.
