When you first meet the girl in the bag that the two Snagem members bring with them to Phenac City when you enter Phenac for the very first time, (you know, Rui, the girl that tells you to go to the mayor's house first), the informalk tutorial begins... The mayor tells you to go to Phenac Stadium, where Snagem people await you after you enter and talk to the receptionist lady in the stadium (you know, the girl that accepts participants for colosseum tournament battles, in which when you forst enter Phenac City, says the battle tournament's already started, so they're no longer taking participants for the battle tournament). After that, the informal tutorial gets on the final phase, as a girl by the Phenac City entrance notices you, and will tell you what to do next... And guess what??? You'll meet a Snagem Member w/ a Shadow Makuhta. Now, after you beat him, you'll notice that three people in colored suits are blocking your way. Battle one of them and catch or defeat the Evolution of the Johto Starter that corresponds to the color of the person you're battling, and you just finished the informal tutorial!!! That's the answer to your question right there!!!

This may sounds stupid but I killled Meditite and I keep talking to the guy and he won't rebattle me !!!
It says
Meditite: You can fight Rider Twan as much as you like in the Pyrite Cave.

But I talk to him and he says
Twan: Your a strong trainer you were a great challenge.
or something like that and then he won't face me.

Anyone know whats wrong??

Your in Deep Do Do now. You can either use lots of UltraBalls which won't work or you have to restart the game.

What? Tyranitar was easier than expected for me to catch. Caught it with an Ultra Ball. I ended up using 6 balls total, 5 Ultras and one Timer. What I did was I got it down on low yellow with Level 63 Umbreon's attack Bite, and then it would use Shadow Rush some and got itself down to red. I thought it was going to faint once but it turns out that it had 1 HP left. I threw an Ultra Ball, didn't work and I threw one more and it did.

Thanks for the great list. Wish I'd read this last night. Metagross KO'd himself and I reset the game thinking I'd not have another chance at him. I think I might let him do it again and then worry about him at try 2 of the tower.

Again great list!

I suggest you use the master ball on metagros since metagros is actually BETTER than tyranitar (at least I think so - feel free to disagree *hey that rymes!*)

I was going to use it on one or the other then after I beat the game trade another one from one of my other games (restarted ruby a bunch to get a few extras).

You all forgot 3 Shadow Pokemon! ;175;, ;179;, ;212; You use an E-Reader and some cards to get to fight these! I need the cards to get them though, where can I get them?

You can't get them, anywhere! They were only available in the Japense Version.

Gonzap's located in the Snagem Hideout, though IIRC you have to have snagged the two starters first. It's somewhere by there. He'll be in the "office" in the east of the building.

This site's 2:nd chance guide says that it's in the Shadow Institute. I think It's at the same spot as before, when you met it the first time.
