Mistakes in Serebii.net's Manga Section

I've spotted some errors in the Manga section of Serebii.net, hopefully Serebii/ Coronis will correct them soon.

In the Character's Bios

Noland's Glalie is typed as 'Golalie'.
Giovanni's name is not capitaled.

Are there any others?

I guess you had better post these in the Mistakes on Site thread on the Site Discussion forums, because Serebii seldom comes to the manga board, and he's actually the only one who can make amendments to the site.

I'll be able clarify information errors, but for technical ones like typos, I suggest you post them there :)

Erm... oops?

Shouldn't Red and Green has had each other's pokemon since in 'VS Ninetales", they exchanged pokemon?

Bill had a Magikarp in the chapter where he fights Bruno with Surge.

Chuck has mutipal Tyrogues doing housework.

Is that really Wilton at the pokemon league in RBG (where Blue tries to trade Weedle for Butterfree)?

This isn't a mistake, but I was wondering why Coronis uses different names for the characters. Like, Hokage is Hank and Shizuku is Sean...

Whenever I Drag and Drop Pokémon manga summeries into a word document, I get this weird thing saying "&hellip" every so often.

CWisgood - I'll get around to add the Red/Green, and Chuck part some day, but for Bill, I'm not really sure if we can count Magikarp as I don't think he's captured it, very much like Ruby and Sapphire using Plusle and Minun on the abandoned ship which I didn't count as well. And yes, that fisherman in volume 3 is Wilton, the writers have confirmed that in one of the Q&A on Netkun.

Faerie - I've actually explained the use of custom character names in the PokeSpecial FAQ sticky in this forums, but generally, it's because Japanese names are sometimes difficult to pronounce for some, eg. for Hokage, people will wonder if it's pronounced as Ho-ka-ge or Ho-cage, so I just went ahead to change them all into English names phonetically resembling their Japanese counterparts.

Some might wonder why I don't use the Chuang Yi translated names instead. Well, PokeSpecial is based on the games, and use the official names from the games, but I've noticed very so often that Chuang Yi does not use the characters' official names from the games (eg. Izumi's official English name is Shelly in the games, but Chuang Yi made it Angie, in doing so also breaking the SSS theme in the Team Aqua Admin's names). Plus, most of the time I've already done the summary before Chuang Yi translates a particular chapter (especially the FRLG and BF ones now), so I don't plan on switching to Chuang Yi translations as far as I can see.

blob - as Serebii said, it is is prevent materials on the site from being stolen

Ah. Yeah, I understand that. Once one of my friends saw the name online and, when asking me who it was, pronounced the name "Hawk-age". I still laugh about that. xD

The reason that it's called the SSS, or ThreeS, trio is because in the Japanese names, they all contain a character that is romanized containing an 's'. Izumi's is pretty complicated though...When two line-dot-thingys are beside the character 'su', it becomes 'zu'. So it fits...But just barely. xD

Yes, that and, the full name of SSS is Subleaders of the Sea Scheme :)

I assume that you don't count that Teddiursa that Gold caught for that little girl either, do you Coronis?

Easy to fix that one...dont steal our summaries

Joe, there's a difference between saving the summeries and then using them on another site and simply saving the summeries for personal use later on in case the site ever goes down.

I would never steal the summeries, like Alfonso said. I have them for personal use.

I think the Magikarp is his. It can't be wild considering that the liquid was acidic.

I found the mistake in the PLC President's BIO:
Alakazam
Re-Obtained from Team Rocket Prior To Chapter: Justice VS Evil Wit!

it should be:
Alakazam
Re-Obtained from Team Rocket In Chapter: VS Electabuzz

And Ruby doesn't come from Petralburg. He came from Johto (I don't know the town).

CWisgood - Yeah, I've reread the chapter and think you're probably right. I'll make a change to the summary and add Magikarp to Bill's bio. For Chuck's Tyrogue though, after thinking a bit, I guess I would say they belong more to his wife (though he most probably captured them for her), but I'll leave that part intact for the moment

For all the other mistakes, thank you for all your inputs, and I've sent an amendment list to Serebii, they should be corrected soon, alongside with some new additions to Emerald and Brandon's bios.

Yay! Pit!
I had found other mistake:

In Yellow's Bios:
Omask "Evolved from Omastar in chapter VS. Metapod!"
The erros is Omastar, it should be Omanyte

Question about Main characters:
Why in Gold's and Crystal's Bios "Pokémon that he/she had" Shows the nickname of the Pokémon and in Sapphire's Bios keeps the real name? Example:

Gold's:
Typhlo (Cyndaquil) Now: Typhlo (Typhlosion)

Crystal's:
Megapon (Chikorita) Now: Megapon (Meganium)

Sapphire's:
Torchic Now: Chaka (Blaziken)

Explain why is this?
