Hi all. We have had reports of member's signatures being edited to include malicious content. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and we can find no indication that the forums themselves have been compromised.
However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar logins on multiple sites, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

I don't see why this is SPAM. It's a decent enough question. Your replies on the other hand mrmimeykai and Mudkipirc, I would consider spam, since you're not doing anything for the topic other than ridiculing the creator.
I was modded after I started frequenting the SPP chat room, when the Pokemasters chat room had become a place where the most dicussed topic was neopets. Serebii knew I modded the RBY forum at TPM, so he asked if I would mod RBY here too. After much harrassing on my part he made an RPG Forum on my request, which I also ended up modding. After that I got made a Super Mod, which was great. Being made an admin was a bit of a shock, but it's a position I don't think I'm cut out for, and that there are better people more suited for the job.

I joined here in April 2004.. around june or july or so Trip (a former r/s/e/fr/lg/rmt/etc mod) IMed me and asked if I and another former mod, Random, would be willingly to help mod those forums as he was pretty much the only one in there doing stuff. No one had any idea of who I was at all. A few months into being a mod I joined the chat and got to know some of the staff a lot better.
I got smod around February or March in 2005. I dont really remember when that happened. It was like 2/3/4 months before mod+ was added. What I do remember is that I would keep throwing bad sigs/threads/spam in other sections/etc to the smods and admins and I guess I was so overwhelming with it all that I got promoted so i could do it myself =P
Admin I got November 2005. Almost a year now Ive had this position.. seems shorter than that though.

I got my mod around a month or a month and a half ago, because I frequent the misc discussion a lot, and when Chris, who is an smod there and does a lot of work came to visit me, misc seemed to have gotten hit hard with spam and such.
So Joe modded Josh and I to help out.
