Moltres Question

'Kay, so..I've made it to Moltres' location on One Island, and I realize that I don't really have enough to catch it, I've tried a few times, and ended up restarting (running out of balls), and had to restart.

My question is, if I leave One Island to complete whats his name's quest, by going to Two Island, and doing whatever, get my last badge, beat E4..could I come back to One Island and then capture Moltres? Or will it fly away?

You can get it back as long as you don't kill it then save.
