Which do you think are the most adult games?

I personally say colosseum becuase of the charactors background and the whole thought of stealing pokemon

EMike

Windchime Guy
None of them. Pokemon aren't adult games anymore than they're kids games, and the two are ridiculous groups to apply to games like Pokemon, Kirby, or Mario anyways. They're meant to be friendly towards the kid group, they're not entirely based off them. Just look at some of the Pokedex entries, or the graveyards.

Which have had interestingly dark overtones since the first two games.

Most adult? I don't understand this question very well. Pokemon games are aimed towards the younger people though us older people love them aswell. ;D

Darkish theme goes to Colo/XD if that's what you mean.

Well, when it comes to 'adult', it usually means to me as 'most dramatic'

And in this case, the most 'adult' is Colloseum.

Reasons for this: You play as an Ex-Snagem (Is that what there were called?) member, the pokemon were EVIL and it was up to you to turn them good, you had to do so at a shrine, heck, you start the game out saving a girl who got kidnapped and put into a bag!!

Then again ... D/P had some dramatic turns in there too, what with the team Galactic leader going all evil, then you actually having to take pity on him, then the fact you could face GOD ... and there are so much more ...

Darn, shoulda voted for D/P

Flip me to the side!
None of them, but i liked the R/B/Y and G/S/C atmosphere the most.

I say r/y/b because there aren't many of those silly tutorials of things you obviously know how to do like catch a pokemon in the beginnings of r/s and d/p (wtf!)

It's not my fault!

In Colosseum, the guy gets punched in the gut! You don't see that in most other Pokemon games.

I think Pornomon : Pink was probably the most adult oriented of the lot. But failing that I suppose Colosseum was less kiddie-friendly if only because there weren't so many bright colours bouncing around the screen.

Colosseum and XD aren't as happy go lucky as their GBA counterparts.

Team Rocket takes over Saffron and Goldenrod in the first two gens, so they win. The Cinnibar Mansion thing helps too. ;150;

I'll say Colosseum...It always seemed darker to me than XD, for some reason. Probably because in XD you're the stereotypical kid-hero again, in Colosseum it was nice to play as someone a bit different. Plus the whole Shadow Pokémon thing, I used to wonder exactly what it was they *did* to the Pokémon (especially Shadow Lugia in XD) to close their hearts...And this sounds really lame, but I thought some of the music was quite scary-sounding. XP

Definitely Colosseum. I loved that game mostly because of it's deliciously dark storyline. XD follows rather closely behind it, but what ruins it is the midget. I'd rather he was more Wes-like. We pwned. He's one of my favourite Pokemon trainers.

I quess it's Diamond or Pearl because it's very very exciting game I was trying to catching Dialga I was almost break my heart.

Belgian Waffles!!!
Colosseum because of said reasons. Shadow pokemon, ex-snagem, and some of the most awkward characters like Dakim.

Colusseum

Because in the under, in the pokemart I think a guy hit on me one time!

Vogue to the Music
I'll say R/B/Y, since it had much darker and mature themes than later games (like TR actually killing pokemon, and the whole Pokemon Mansion and Mew/Mewtwo thing they had going on). R/B/Y was also more sexist, imo, but that's a discussion for another day :p.
EDIT: Yay! New rank! x3
