• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.
  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

I started battling online recently and I have to say....Breloom. That pokemon scares me....gives me nightmares.

Divine Retribution

Conquistador de pan
I would say Whitney's miltank. That rollout was no joke! I was ready to flip tables every time it beat me.

You're in the competitive section, not the in-game section.

Yeah, I kinda hate Breloom myself. The main reason I sometimes run Sludge Bomb on my Amoonguss is because it OHKOs Breloom and makes it way easier to deal with. Of course, that won't save you from sleep, but I guess no Pokemon is perfect.

Quilava42

Blazing Flowers
Dusknoir. I battled one in a Wi-Fi Battle and it kept using Will-O-Wisp and Pain Split as I tried hitting it, but it causes little damage and my Pokemon kept fainting because of that, and its defenses were high.

Dusclops interestingly enough makes a better wall then Dusknoir, thanks to Eviolite. I fought a Calm Mind / Will-o'-the-Wisp set once that was really annoying. Took a crit from Houndoom to take it down.

(And don't give me that Dusknoir-has-offensive-presence crap, it doesn't. Dusclops' Seismic Toss often outdamages any offensive move Dusknoir can use.)

Yamask

Super Barbie
Ludicolo with Rain Dish and Leftovers.
Leech Seed, Rain Dance, Giga Drain, Toxic.

This set:

Cottonee @ Focus Sash
Level 1, Random Nature/EV/IV
-Substitute
-Toxic
-Protect
-Leech Seed

What's the point of Focus Sash...? It only activates once.

SilverChiko

Protect The Smiles!
Prankster Liepard that spammed Charm and Double Team, my TTar was weak as piss when it finally hit the Liepard

A ratatta, level 1 with focus sash and endeaver and quick attack.
I was winning the battle with my level 100 zoroark slapping nearly everything because my dragonite and noctowl fainted. The ratatatta used endeaver after I 1 hit KO it with the focus sash. The moment I saw that ratatatta at level 1 I knew it was one of those annoying back up plan crap things. I know it was obviously holding focus sash because I've seen this situation on youtube before. If I try and kill it and then switch out it will spam endeavor.... I still won the battle with my charizard using air slash on that ratatta but the problem was. The guy sent out a togekiss. I lost that match. Togekiss and that metronome got lucky and got surf on it and a swords dance......I hated that match, it was my first online battle too.

Dew Watatsumi

Water Type E-3
Technician Breloom...the bane of my existence...Bulletseed, spore...I just wanna roast that thing on a pit

The Point of Focus sash is to set up leech seed turn 1 then regain all the Hp then use sub and protect to slowly stall out your opponent. Should your opponent miss for some odd reason you are then able to use toxic to increase the ammount of damage your doing. In other words the sash allows the set to function.

And the most annoying sets usually are those smaller unexpected stratagies. so ill go with a CC Xat favourite and say Miror's Kecleon

Gotta Catch 'em All!
Substitute on anything. Venesaur with rediculus speed and sludge bomb. Scolipede. Jellicent. ninjask with substitue and batton pass.

Naoto Shirogane

The Detective Prince
for me i would have to say Wobbuffet because it can kill one of my important pokes or i dont attack and just stall it out which is boring. not that i can't handle Wobbuffet it's just an annoying poke. but there are others which have been suggested what are annoying.

I did a 1v1 with a person on showdown, and the guy used a Smeargle on me. He started off with spore, then imprison and transform. Then he just stalled me as I struggled to death.

Haex

Ghost Dude
Hmmm... Probably Cress and Poison Heal + Sub Gliscor, damn, I cannot touch them =/

Choice Scarf Gothitelle by far. I have never seen a more annoying user of Trick+Choice.

Creeper

om nom nom
I use it, never fought it, but I think I'd like to share.

Priority CopycatRoar Riolu.

+1 Roar, can't die unless you use priority or hail/sand, and if that's gone you lose if there are hazards up. You can't do anything.

The link in my sig shows the results.
