Most epic moment in the Pokemon Anime

Queen Cynthia

Dignified Queen of Sinnoh
What was your most epic moment in the Pokemon Anime?

---

My most epic moment was in the PWC battle between Cynthia and Iris when Garchomp entered the battlefield and that super epic, monumental orchestral music started playing. It's still giving me the chills whenever I think about it. You'd expect an army of golden angels to descend from Heaven directly. This was my unforgetable moment of pure epicness and greatness. Simply beyond words! (No surprise, my personal most epic moment would involve Cynthia.)

The second most epic moment was movie 10 when at the end that wonderful song "Oracion" was playing. Such a peaceful and at the same time uplifting piece of music!

Looking forward to your most epic moments!

Asking for my most epic moment in the Pokémon anime, it's back in episode 111 of Journeys, when Lillie reunited with her father. All the background music, especially the piano, made me cry at the end. It was such a heartfelt reunion and that too in the backdrop of snow, the most beautiful setting for such episodes. Ig, I have watched that episode at least 4 - 5 times, but it never fails to make me emotional every time I watch it.

For its time, Ash beating Tobias' Darkrai and then Pikachu managing to stalemate Tobias' Latios despite the odds being against him, and Ash's Greninja overpowering Diantha's Gardevoir. Honorable mentions go to Charizard beating Articuno and Pikachu beating Regice.

Okay but Wistoria is actually so peak
  • Dawn's combination of Piplup's and Togekiss' attacks in the Grand Festival
  • Chloe finding Serena training with Sylveon
  • Misty using Mega Gyarados against Team Rocket in SM
  • Entirely of Pokemon JN episode 65

Without a doubt - Team Flare Attack. It’s still a most epic arc in whole series. With big scales, tons of battles, high stakes, drama, emotions, and tons of characters of Kalos saga in final battle. And this is one of the reasons why Ash’s story should’ve been ended on XYZ. Because making something cooler than that, at least in coming years, is impossible. Journeys tried with Darkest Day arc, and flopped.

Almighty Zard

He has returned.
When Charizard returned around the battle with Clair, back then I had no idea if Charizard would return or not, and Ash releasing it to train felt like a dumb move at the time.

As I got older and the series progress however, I looked back on it and realized that it was something that needed to happen, since also at the time Misty and Brock did have a point that ever since Ash was able to control Charizard, he could simply fall back on and use it to get him out of a tough situation due to it's strength, which in a way was probably why they made it disobedient, and Ash had been relying more on power than strategy in his battles up to that point, something he was forced to start doing in Jouto and got better at it in future regions.

Even so just seeing Charizard come back was such an awesome moment for me, that it's my top choice.

Team Awesome
My vote for most epic moment goes to Ash going to fulfill the prophecy in the second movie, Team Rocket helping out and sacrificing themselves, and the song calming down the legendary birds. It is so awesome! I'd also go for Ash's death and revival in the first movie, and Charizard finally obeying Ash in battle in Charizard Chills.

Too much anti Quagsire propaganda in here!
When Charizard battled with Reshiram… oh wait!

Pikachu’s battle against Latios was definitely epic!
When Golisopod eviscerated the Lana’s Primarina, that happens when you treat the tournament like a kindergarten playground.
The destruction of Lumiose City and a child cheering a literal monster to crush Lysandre was pretty epic.

When Solidad wiped the floor with May.
When Giselle wiped the floor with Misty is one of my favorites as well!

For some reason, the Meowth vs Pikachu fight in the Pokeball factory episode where Pikachu actually flinched.

It's such an esoteric thing, and it was a fake out and Meowth lost, but that was the first and ONLY time Meowth HURT Pikachu. They kept that flawless victory thing going for TWO DECADES, Meowth NEVER hit Pikachu back or even got in so much as a cheap shot like he does plenty other Pokemon, so it just kinda stuck out by then that they let Meowth break it and get in a hit, if ONLY that hit EVER. :p

Helps it was an episode he was exceptionally ticked that Pikachu was mopping the floor with him, like this was the absolute last straw and he wasn't gonna go down till he at least made him squirm a LITTLE this time.

Cuando Golisopod destripó a la Primarina de Lana, eso sucede cuando tratas el torneo como un patio de juegos de jardín de infantes.

Removing Guzma, he already fought with an ash stronger than all previous leagues, Guzma would simply do the same with the other leagues

Speaking of Guzma, that point when Pikachu gets Throat Chopped by Golisopod and he's straight up rolling on the floor screaming in agony is a freaking BRUTAL moment for the show.

There's something about Guzma's battles that were unsettlingly violent, like this was no longer an anime battle and more a straight up uncoordinated fight club. The Pokemon are just straight up MAULING each other like wild animals. Even in universe the audience don't wanna watch this.
