For me it was fighting a snorlax who used bellydrum then I fainted his partner, Metagross comes in uses Psych Up from Snorlax and the 2 of them swept the rest of my team : / I know it's not that special but I've never saw it before so I was really impressed at that time.

lol something like this happened to me aswell
but this team wasn´t that attacking
first came in game Slowbro and Cradily, and I had Jolteon and Vaporeon...
Slowbro sets TrickRoom and I KOed Slowbro...blah blah
now is Cradily set with max Amnesias, and Bronzong is here instead of Slowbro now.
Bronzong Psych Ups his maxed Amnesias X_X
Jolteon´s Thunder inflicts maybe 10 lives to Bronzong, that was negated by lefovers. Cradily´s only damaging move was Toxic.
After all was set up at the opponent´s team, Brozong was starting to use Charge Beam.
his sp.atk was maxed and killed all of my pokemon
I must say that it´s a very good player, now I am only saying to myself : why I didn´t kill this Cradily first...

the dreaded plusle and minun combo, i totally underestimated the combo and with tail glow and baton pass they just sweeped whole team easy.

Where am I?
I saw a team where he sent out Sableye and Hypno and I sent out Empoleon and Yanmega, I started with Yanmega using detect and empoleon using surf. His Hypno used Trick Room and his Sableye used Swagger on Yanmega. The next turn Hypno used switcheroo and switched my spooky plate with his Berry, dunno wut.... and Sableye used punishment on Yanmaega... which did a lot. I had Yanmega use bug Buzz, but it really didn't do much, and Empoleon used Hydro Pump, but missed. Tentecruel was switched for Hypno, and Sableye killed Yanmega. I sent out Roserade, and Empoleon used Hydro PUmp, but missed again. Tentacruel used accupressure on Sableye and raised it's attack, and Sableye used swagger on Empoleon. Next turn Sableye almost killed Empoleon with Punishment (ADAMANT) and Tentacruel used Accupressure on Sableye again and raised it's attack... I tried using shadow claw on Sableye w/ Empoleon, but I Fainted, Darn confusion... Roserade used shadow ball on Sableye and ALMOST killed it... The trick room hadn't worn off, and I sent out Sudowoodo. They switched Tentacruel for Hypno and Sableye used swagger on Roserade after sudowoodo used a Wood Hammer that typically did not wipe out Hypno when making contact. The trick room wore off! Roserade hit itself, Hypno used Trick room, Sableye punished Roserade with punishment, Sudowoodo Defeated Hypno with Double Edge, and the turn ended, after he sent out a Machamp. Great. Basically I killed Sableye with wood Hammer, Then Machamp took out Sudowwodo via Dynamic Punch. Oh well....

Most impressive? idk. I've seen many unorthodox strategies to choose just one. Now most effective? That's easy: Sandstorm-Trick Room-Explosion teams. Metagross, Snorlax, Tyranitar. Game.

I hate fighting those teams. I lose to them a lot...

I faced a trick room NFE team, would have been cool especially because my team is focused on speed. Sadly even with originality, NFE teams usually fail.

Coolest I've seen in '09.

I faced this stratagy on random wifi.

My foe sent in Tauros and Cloyster.

I thought no big deal. (Boy was I wrong!)

Tauros used rage / Cloyster used icicle spear (on his own poke)hitting the Tauros- the Cloyster hit the big bull six times, (link skill), did little damage, but maxed out Tauros's attack......

That's a new one for me:).

The best stratagey i have fallen to was the six articuno's with focus sashes, lock on and sheer cold! they hurt!

I remember one distinct strategy - Someone used a weavile with a crobat. Weavile came in with fake-out, and then the crobat hypnotised my pokemon. Very annoying. Very effective.

That would be more impressive if one of them even got Tail Glow. The closest you get is Plusle, with Nasty Plot (same effect), but only Plusle gets it.

Wow, I don't have PBR so I can't really get into topic...but I'm seeing very good strategies here. I've got to try some one day.

PS: The Tauros/Cloyster one was genious, as the Swagger/Punishment combo too.

I saw a Japanese player use Subsitute on Charizard and it started firing off Will-O-Wisps. I was fairly impressed. It was a bit too late in the battle to matter, but it seems like in the Japanese metagame, Subsitute tactics are very common.

Tyranitar + hypno. Hypno uses trick room and faints due to a sash+sandstorm. T-tar uses protect. they send out relicanth and i get head smashed to oblivion.

Can't remember very well but it went like this...
Machamp and Stantler. Stantler uses Skill Swap on Machamp, getting No Guard.
Next Turn, Machamp switches to Dugtrio and Stantler uses again Skill Swap giving the No Guard to Dugtrio.
The next turns my Pokémon faints from a severe case of several Fissure.
That was very evil, but effective. I must had fainted Stantler first.

I use that too! But with Gliscor and Bronzong.

Someone used a trick room explosion team, very irritating.
