Most Under-Used/Under-Rated/Forgotten 1st Generation Pokemon

Tauros is deffinitaly the most underrated pokemon. I think Porygon was somewhat over rated =/

Tauros is a metagame standard seen on pratically every competetive RBGY team. Underused? Underrated? I doubt it. It's one of only 3 Normal types actively used next to Snorlax and Chansey.

And can we leave Corsola, Togetic and other pokemon from other games out of the discussion please?

Diglett is an unevoveld pokemon. There's a reason people don't use unevovled pokemon on their team. Asking why Diglett is underused is like asking why nobody ever has a Kukuna on their teams.

Not really, Kay. I like Persian. I even keep one in my LG Team.

I think that Tangela, Mr Mime, Farfetch'd, Fearow, Ponyta/Rapidash are forgotten.

Let's see... for me, personally, almost anything found in a cave.
The first few times I played red, I hardly did anything with Machop, Onix, or Zubat. Even Clefairy, which has great potential, got fairly neglected.

I did use Dugtrio a good deal, since it learned Dig without a TM, and when I was using Squirtle as a starter, Graveler was a must-have against Surge. Silly lightning types couldn't do a thing to him! Made me feel powerful.

I once got a Beedrill's level up in the 50's, but I never found it that useful in the later stages of the game. Same with Butterfree.

For me, I'd say Jigglypuff is the most forgotten Pokemon. I've never gotten one past lv. 15 or so.
