I've heard in several reputable FAQs that when you beat Gym Leader Castle in Stadium 2, you can teach one level-up move to one Pokemon (similar to the Move Tutor from Ru/Sa/Em and the Move Maniac from FR/LG). Is this true? If it is, are there any specific details (e.g., R1, R2)?

Yes, it's true. If you have Gold for instance, you capture a level 70 Lugia without Aeroblast. Beating GLC will allow you to give it that move.

That wasn't confusing.

If you capture a Lv70 Lugia in Gold, it will not have Aeroblast. It's moveset is past that. If you beat the Gym Leader Castle, it will allow Lugia to Re-learn the move.
