Moveset for Blaziken?

Absol!

Sea Ruby Trainer
I am thinking about raising a new generation of Pokemon on Ruby, solely for the purpose of the Battle Tower. As Blaziken is my favourite Pokemon, I am going to breed a little Torchic from my two level 100s and raise him up. What do you think of this moveset?

Blaziken @ Leftovers or Choice Band, suggestions loved
EVs: I am planning to go Attack and Speed, but again, suggestions wanted
Nature: hoping for Lonely. The female has a Lonely nature and it has served me well.
- Sky Uppercut
- Fire Punch/Flamethrower
- Overheat
- Aerial Ace

Remember:
I threw this together in like, 60 seconds. Please don't go about saying its terrible. I just want constructive criticism, please.

I need suggestions on natures, items, movesets and EVs. So, basically, everything. Go ahead ^^

Jolly Nature

-Sky Uppercut
-Rock Slide
-Overheat
-Bulk Up

Swords Dance works much better then Bulk Up if you can get it. I'm fairly sure you can get that moveset completely in Ruby... I'm not completely sure about Rockslide, though. If you can get it at all you'd have to breed for it.

That EV spread will work fine in-game. I don't know a good competitive one.

There's no sense in having Overheat with Fire punch or Flamethrower. First of all, don't put two moves of the same type on a pokemon. It's pointless, even in-game. Second, Overheat greatly reduces your Sp.atk. So yeah. No.

Thanks! I was having doubts about putting two Fire-type moves in the set, and I hadn't really looked into Overheat that much.

I know you can get Rock Slide (I've had it before), so I'll try to get that move in there :)

;227; This 'ken is almost competitive, so you'll have few problems.

EDIT: Zodiac, if you're going to rate, please study up on the Pokemon you're rating. Look at the attacks you're suggesting too.

An enduring Blaziken is AWESOME because Endure also activates Blaze! You could have
Overheat
Reversal
Rock Slide
Endure
OR
Overheat
Sky Uppercut
Rock Slide
Bulk Up/Swords Dance

Rock Slide is a MUST on Blaziken.

Just use Ryan's Blaziken or CB Blaziken, those are the best sets.

EDIT: Zodiac, please don't help if you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Blaziken used Endure!
Tyranitar used Rock Slide!
Blaziken endured the hit!
It's super effective!
Sandstorm rages.
Blaziken is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Blaziken fainted!

(Read as: Endrevvers don't work. Quick Attack, Extremespeed, and HP-detracting status kill.)

...except that Rock-type attacks are neutral against Blaziken.

Naive Nature @ Leftovers
Swords Dance
Rock Slide
Flamethrower
Sky Uppercut

Or...

Naive Nature @ Leftovers
Substitute
Sky Uppercut
Thunderpunch
Flamethrower

I use the second set competitely (as I don't play in-game anymore). Also, the second set requires different EVs from the first one.

oh nig please, how many Tyranitar do you see ingame?
In the whole Battle Frontier I only saw TWO of those niggers
and the AI is too dumb to even use QA or ES, they rather just TRY
to setup, and Blaziken doesn't die to Rockslide..

Even in Netbattle Tyranitar is dying because it has so many weaknesses
and wtf uses QA or ES who are only avalable on **** pokes. Reversal/Flail sweeping is coming back and its swept quite often from what I see..

But if you can't get Salac DONT use Reversal just go with
what chaos952 posted

I recommend the second set ingame(you should ev train in sp.attack).
Rock slide is an awesome attack and takes care of every flying pokemon and due to balziken's high attack stat is also great against other types(without considering weak./resist.), but you also need to consider the fact that blaziken is also weak to water so thunderpunch can take care of both water and flying pokes(except if you run into swampy, whiscash or quagsire, but in that case rock slide wouldn't be much of a help either).

I should show you the battle I had with an Arcanine that cost me my 52nd win. They do know when to use Extreme Speed in the Battle Frontier...

Try:

Blaziken
Nature: Adamant or Hardy
Item: Soft Sand
Moves:

Earthquake
Blaze Kick
Sky Uppercut
Mirror move

That's my level 100 blaziken and it sarved me well

So your saying this only happened in this ONE battle?
Where you didn't even had to setup and just Rockslided for a KO?
Yes I've seen like 10 Arcanines and only 3 had the courage to
Extremespeed my Scizor, the other morons thought they could
Fire attack me, the comp DOESNT know and just tries random ****
and occasionally gets it right..

Blaziken Ruler

chu starin at?
Blaziken/Adamant
@Leftovers

Flametheower
Brick Break
Aerial Ace
Return

Brick Break should be better than Sky Uppercut because it has 100% accuracy and breaks defensive barriers like Light Screen and reflect.Sky Uppercut with STAB has power 120 while Brick Break has 112 so not much difference.

Return Because it is powered up if you the pokemon likes you.Go see the woman in Verdanturf to see how much your Blaziken likes you.

Overall this is a pretty good moveset and should be able to take out most types.
