But Never Again...
It sorta kills the awesomeness...pirated ones usually have MUCH LOWER quality...and it kills the thrill of seeing it in the theatres...

Yea, I wouldn't mind seeing a pirated movie, but I do not like the idea of making and selling it; it's a serious crime...could get sued BIG TIME

Ooooh, my mate has alot of pirated movies. Come's in handy in class, when it is a boring subject, and we have our laptops out...

As for myself though, I don't have an issue with pirating, as long as it isn't nationwide stuff. But between a couple of people, I have no problem with that

You know, I love pirated movies. Of course my ethics are screwed up like most people's are. If you don't like it, complain to the police :p

I'm a /tr/ainer.
Depends on the quality. If it's a pirated movie that was filmed in a theater, or whatever, I usually don't watch those. But, when the DVDs are released, I'll possibly search Limewire/Frostwire for them. After all, it isn't illegal unless you get caught. *thumbs up*....

As long as people don't find out ;) Honestly though, I don't have any problem at all with pirating. OH NOEZ IT'S ILLEGAL. What's the difference between a pirated movie and one you bought? You had to pay for the one you bought. I'd rather not pay =)

I don't peticurlarly care.

Sigh!

Bad Taste Everywhere
Well almost all the movies my dad owns are pirated and they are actually high quality except that X-Men origins where they didn't even finish the special effects.

I think people will go to the cinema if they want but if they don't want to then they'll get it illegally. I don't think its really that bad, the films still get enough money and I watch the film to watch the film I don't think about 'Oh no I'm stealing I must pay £3 to the film company'. When I was younger I usedto hate it but I grew up and realised it isn't the end of the world and if it was really such a bad problem then they should put policemen in the cinema to stop people recording it.

Pretty much all my family's Asian movies are pirated, I think.

No one really cares about Asian movies being pirated, except when someone has the time and effort to dob people in...and still, all the shops get are fines.

You're all going to hell, you unethical *******s.

But more seriously, it doesn't make a damn difference to me at all. I don't do it, I don't bother the people that do.

HAHAHAHAHA please say you were joking? It just seems so odd and rude that you would say we're all going to hell. I don't even believe in hell. Sorry we're not all saints.

...You did read the rest of the post, right? You'll see that he was joking.

As for me, I don't care that much. I don't get the whole "thrill" of seeign it in the cinema. In the cinema, you get people kicking the back of your seat and throwing **** at you...Oh, and babies crying.

I hate my local cinema.

Oh, hell yes. Can't stand that. I never go to the movies anymore, always just buy the dvd or illegally download it. Same with songs (download singles), but if it's an album, I'll buy it

Bad and Nationwide
The way I see it; 20th century fox doesn't need that 20$ more than I need it.

The illegality isn’t even a factor. It’s not something I personally get involved with since if I want to see a film enough, I’ll spend a few quid and go see it at the cinema like a normal person, but what irritates me about the whole piracy issue is the manner in which it is handled, like the so called warnings on DVDs when they compare pirate films to actual crimes like stealing cars. Watching the odd knock off movie is pretty much a victimless crime, the typical person that indulges in such a thing is either not a mega obsessive film addict, or literally just doesn’t have the funds to go see every film they like the look of, so in that sense no one loses out if the individual doesn’t have the disposable income to actually visit the cinema. Ultimately it just needs to be kept in perspective, the entire reason that governments are so anal about this kind of ‘crime’ is because it’s a soft target that hinders money making, which is the real issue here, and as we know, they protect revenue generators. What’s ridiculous is the fines and prison sentences they threaten us with, they’re more defensive about something petty than actual problems since they make a bigger deal out of pirate films than crimes that literally hurt people such as mugging, assaults etc it seriously wouldn’t surprise me if someone got a more severe punishment for watching a few ‘illegally obtained’ movies than murder due to how well documented it is that life imprisonment really doesn’t mean life at all.

Sorry, stumbled onto a pet hate here :p
