Seems doable in Red/Black. If you're going straight mono, theres always Hypnotic Specter and Abyssal Specter if you dont mind it not having haste. Still a pretty cool card in itself. Your opponent doesn't have any flyings and swing in with this. Pretty neat.

It is WAY better then Abyssal Specter. However, if you're playing mono black...

Not to mention Blazing dies vs Shock while Abyssal doesn't. Blazing Specter IS better then Abyssal Specter, but it should get some credit.

This card, like most non-hypnotic specter's, isnt good.

Flying and haste is good, but, for the p/t, skynight legionnaire > this.

Hypnotic Specter + R + haste + opponent chosing the card instead of random is not a good card.

Wow... what's so good at a not-hyppie that isn't mono-colored, isn't random discard, and still comes into the action at the same time hyppie does?
