People might over look the text of this card but it says "untap BASIC lands". That means when going out and playing this card, you should look at your lands and see if you're running little to no non basic lands for this card to still be effective. It's actually a great staple in Heartbeat decks as it runs no nonbasic lands anyways. In heartbeat decks, = win. I can't see it doing anything SPECTACULAR in any other decks.

Really now, if you were planning on playing a big creature like, float 5 mana, tap 3 to play early havest, tap 8 (5+8 = 13, enough to play something like colossus) might as well win the game then and there with Rude Awakening, since it does the same thing + more.

Nobody replied to my COTD on Pestilence. (T.T) So I guess RaikouRider will fix the the COTDs.

Back to the card, it's a pretty good card if you need spare mana. Spanner mana. You could really abuse this if you're that evil.

Imagine I have 7 lands down, and Overwhelm and Hour of Reckoning in hand. And this. And a bunch of Saprolings and three monsters.

First, Convoke for Overwhelm to leave you with 3 lands, which you use to play Early Harvest, and then plonk down Hour of Reckoning and laugh very loudly as you attack. It's true. And fun.

This card is a nice little card green decks should try and bring along if it's okay.

Useful for casting something and then using this to untap and cast something else, also an important piece of the Heartbeat combo. 3/5

Hmmm... It's a good card late game I guess, when you have plenty of lands and need to own quickly.

umm... its called seedborne muse
(basically same mana cost, untaps all your permanents even on opp's turn, and is legal in type-2 play)

And also, your opponent won't get to factor it in when planning for a large-scale attack because he can't see it, unlike Seedborn Muse. <_<

But, Seedborn Muse being a creature, I assume allows for multiple castings of the single spell, whereas a single blue hard counter would own Early Harvest backwards, forwards, and upside down.

Seedborne muse is not an Activated ability, it happens no matter what during the other players untap steps, It really is a completely different effect, come on guys, stay on top of the game. anyway, this is a pretty good card in heartbeats desire decks, I'd say 3.5/5. oh yeah, can i do some Cotds?
