Mono colored decks, HATED THIS CARD. On turn 4, your hand would just be desimated. Unless ofcourse you're playing aggro and you can play out your hand by turn 4 then i guess this card wont have that much of an impact (having white weenie in mind). Either way, this is a handy discard card nonetheless

Ouch. Mono-colour decks should watch out. Five-colour decks won't die so much to this, but two/three-colour decks could also take a beating from this card.

This card is pretty good. It works in most black decks. ^^ Rawr, I say.

I woundn't say it was BAD, but it doesn't exactly shine either. Great hand decimation, but pretty situational. I'd play it in sideboard, but it can turn out great or horrible. Kind of a meh card for me.

Well, with the right support in the deck, 85% of the time, it should work out GREAT. I mean, Duress, Distress, Cabal Therapy should help you decide if it's the right play to play Persecute at that time.

Not to mention, getting hit by a persecute when not expecting is a *****.

I agree with teh duck, and besides, you can mass discard lands with this too, which is kinda fun...
But like the rest of Black's abilities, artifacts laugh at it.

This is where you take the Nullmage and decimate the artifacts while their faces get a really funny expession on them.........

If they had a card that allowed mass land discard, some dude would come up with this deck that sucks the mana out of your hand and plant attacks on you while killing your lands. >_< It would be totally imba. Therefore, it will never happen. Fat hope, Ski.
