[MTG-EDH] Animar, Soul of Elements

The Admiral

the star of the masquerade
You know the drill. I built this deck probably around when Innistrad came out, or maybe even before -- Dion probably remembers. In any case, it's old as hell and could use a lot of updates.

This one is also currently Cockatrice-only; I can basically make any mod to it I want, but it's not actually something I can assemble into a solid deck and take to a card shop.

As you probably guessed, creatures are the bread and butter of this deck. Get out Animar ASAP, spam creatures to buff him, draw cards, etc.

I like where this is going, and it plays well if I get the right cards out, but it definitely needs sharpening, especially with a whole new block having come out since I touched this build. Definitely need some other good, cheap creatures in here.

e: personal notes: add the following:
Maelstrom Wanderer
Etherium-Horn Sorcerer

eugh so much hate. divine reckoning might be cool in this deck though, since it's a wrath that lets you keep animar going.

If I could run it, that is. Unfortunately, I can't have white in here.

Blasphemous Act isn't a terrible idea, though. Especially with the right setup, 14/14 Animar isn't that hard.
