Sonic Rush, Mario Kart DS, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrows, Kirby: Canvas Curse, Meteos

Warioware if you like using the Touch Screen

Nintendogs & Animal Crossing: Wild World if you want a different type of game.

Check out that topic to see my "Nintendo DS Games to Own" thread where everyone can contribute with their own little reviews on DS games.

Hope I helped you ^_^

Nothing to be done
If you want fun games then the only two you need are Mario Kart, and Castlevania.

If you want something different, then try the simulations, Animal Crossing or Nintendogs. Neither one of them is really my thing, though.

Canvas Curse is a must, it has very VERY good music in it especially when you go old school...and i as the secrets master have 100% complete XP

anyways Partners in Time is real good, if you played Superstar Saga, get PiT.

Torchic23

gee that's swell
Animal Crossing WW
Mario Kart DS
Nintendogs
Kirby Canvas Curse
Super Mario 64
Pokemon Dash

I don't like all of those but they seem to be very popular

A note about Sonic Rush...

DID YOU LIKED SONIC ADVANCE 2'S BLAND, UNINSPIRED LEVEL DESIGN WHICH INVOLVED YOU PUSHING RIGHT AND SEEING THE GAME COMPLETE ITSELF?

If the answer is negative, you might not like Sonic Rush ; it is awfully overhyped... and after beating it, I must say this:

-NO, Sonic Rush is NOT challenging (you push right, you await the next impossible to see trap, you memorise it, repeat until game is beaten. Bosses are mostly a joke)
-NO, Sonic Rush does NOT have good music. It is actually the opposite ; worst music in the serie, (30 seconds loops with four lyrics repeated over and over again. Please!)
-NO, Sonic Rush does NOT make good use of the new character (Blaze's quest is identical to Sonic's and her new abilities are worth nothing since there's no Blaze-exclusive parts, unlike older Sonic games where you had radically different paths for different characters)
-NO, Sonic Rush is NOT fun (poor level design + "challenge" + awful music = phail).

I still wonder how people can overlook such abysmal flaws but well... If you can rent DS games... then definitely rent before buying or else, you might be VERY disappointed.

Yes, this post is mean... but I wanted to warn people! It IS possible to actually enjoy Sonic Rush... in a twisted sort of way... but if you expect it to be the next Sonic 3 & Knuckles, then know that this game isn't the one you're looking for.

I must say this:

Do realize that all of that is 100% YOUR opinion. Not everyone feels Sonic Rush is a piece of crap. Personally, I thought it smashed on anything that said "Sonic Advance" on the front of it. They fixed everything that was wrong. And techno obviously isnt your deal, b/c that's BASICLALLY what the soundtrack is.

It has more of a Sonic 2 feel to it, rather than a S3&K.

Anyway,

Sonic Rush
Super Mario 64 DS
Castlevania
Tony Hawk's American Sk8land...

Yu-Gi-Oh! if youre into that (like me)

Meteos. (Im gettin it soon.)

somethin like that.

You automatically FAIL for speaking bad of the music for Sonic Rush that was brought to us by Jet Set Radio's music creator. >O

Everybody needs to get Animal Crossing, but I have to strongly reccommend against getting Nintendogs. Everybody looks at it and thinks it's a super cute game that they absoloutly HAVE to buy, then you'll play it for about a week, run out of things to do, and never touch it again. It certainly isn't worth any large amount of money..

Certainly the most overrated game of last year, it got near on perfect 10's at most places, but any game that only lasts a week or two shouldn't have got much higher than a 6, even if it is unbearably cute.

Get Sonic Rush, its totally awesome ;P

It was actually challenging to me - considering it took me several tries to beat the final bosses for Sonic & Blaze and the Final Boss.

This game totally ownz Sonic Advance series.

Wow, if you hate Sonic Rush this must, you must hate Shadow with a passion. O_O

Personally, Sonic Rush isn't really worth a purchase, but it's an awesome rental. Sure, it's easy, but it's still a hell of a lot easier to get chaos emeralds than in Sonic Advance 2 (don't get me started on that).

Also, THE MUSIC IS GOOD. No, this isn't just my opinion.
The reason I'm saying this is because there's an OST (original soundtrack) for this game. This is probably one of the few DS games with an OST.
Anyway, I adore the music. The only people that hate it seem to hate dance music in general (which is known for being repetitious and somewhat annoying). Seriously, this music pumps you up. It's just what the Sonic series needed. Booty-shakin' portable music = kick-a**.
OH NOES PWNED X2

Still, if you're up to it, go ahead and purchase Sonic Rush. If you're horrible at Sonic games, then you'll love it. :D

Others I recommend TO BUY:

Meteos
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Mariokart DS
Super Mario 64 DS (especially if you haven't played the original)
Kirby: Canvas Curse
Castlevania

Others I recommend TO RENT:

Warioware: Touched!
Sonic Rush
Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
Pokemon Dash (although the game isn't really that great...)
Zoo Keeper/Pokemon Trozei

You can't really rent DS games anywhere so your better off buying them. Sonic Rush & Mario & Luigi are definately worth it. There is also a sequel on the way for Sonic Rush.

FOr my DS games, I try to pick one game for each of the main genres. I suggest:
MKDS for racing
Castlevania: DoS for adventure
Metroid: Hunters for Shooty stuff (when it's released)
and probably will get Pkmn Diamond when its out, just cause I can >>
Seriously though, MKDS is fun, as is Castlevania, which actually makes a fair replacement for the Metroid GBA games, seeing as Dread is finished. Different setting era, same basic system. So yeah, I would recommend those four, get MKDS and Castlevania now, and the others when they eventually get released.

Blockbuster and Gamefly?

I'd personally go with Gamefly though. They deliver your games fast, although you kinda need to live close to California for that (sucks to be in Florida :<).

$14.95 each month for unlimited games (but not more than 1 at a time, although you can choose to have more than 1 at a time with a different plan).

Only available in the United States. ;D
