My all-steel FireRed party.

Okay, going through the game was a bit tough, but I've found there is a certain satisfaction in mastering just one specific type. Party is as follows.

Skarmory Level 80 Quick Claw
Roar
Fly
SPikes
Steel Wing

Scizor Level 87
Wing Attack
Slash
Swords Dance
Steel Wing

Aggron Level 80 Leftovers
Sunny Day
Return
Flamethrower
Iron Tail

Steelix level 90 Leftovers
Earthquake
Iron Tail
Double-Edge
Sandstorm

Registeel level 81 Soft Sand
Earthquake
Curse
Thunderbolt
Metal Claw

Metagross level 82 Lax Incense
Meteor Mash
Psychic
Light Screen
Shadow Ball

So, how do you like it? Still trying to get it all to level 100, and I'll probably import it to Diamond and Pearl for use in wifi. I know somebody on there should probably have rock slide, but I consider it now far to late to breed another one just for that.

Skarmory: I would replace Roar with Aerial Ace.

Scizor: Very good moveset in my opinion.

Aggron: I would replace Sunny Day and Flamethrower with Metal Claw and Earthquake.

Steelix: I would replace Sandstorm with Hyper Beam.

Registeel: I would replace Curse and Thunderbolt with Zap Cannon and Hyper Beam.

Metagross: Very good moveset in my opnion.

I hope I helped! :)

use the rock slide tutor in FR on your aggron, because you have a major problem with moltres/charizard. since all your pokes are steel-type, they're mostly physical-based, which means you should probably go with special metagross

metagross @ leftovers
quiet nature
meteor mash
psychic
thunderpunch
ice punch

Where exactly is this tutor? Aggron is the only one on my team who isn't instantly killed by overheat, so that sounds like a good idea. The metagross idea is cool too, I think I'll try it.

and the other reason to give RS to aggron is because it gets STAB on it. give all of them leftovers if you can. skarm should have drill peck instead of fly and rest instead of steel wing. steelix wants toxic and rest instead of DE and sandstorm. give registeel explosion instead of thunderbolt.

you might want to consider putting a tyranitar on this team. it's not actually steel-type, but its endless sandstorm would really help this team. and it could be a second special sweeper, should the need arise, since its base SAtk isn't too bad.

Skarmory Level 80 Leftovers
Roar
DRill Peck
SPikes
Steel Wing
Drill Peck>Fly. Not too sure about Steel Wing.

Scizor Level 87
Silver Wind
Agility/Iron Defence
Swords Dance
Baton Pass
Even thought it's ingame, I like Baton Passing.

Aggron Level 80 Leftovers
Substitute
Rock Slide
Focus Punch
Iron Tail
He has no Sp.Attack. No Fthrower. No Sunny Day.

Steelix level 90 Leftovers
Earthquake
Explode
Double-Edge
Sandstorm

Registeel level 81 Soft Sand
Earthquake
Curse
Thunderbolt
Metal Claw/HP Metal at 70 if you happen to have it
Never saw Tbolt on Registeel before *shrug*

Metagross level 82 Lax Incense
Meteor Mash
Psychic
Light Screen
Elemental Punch
In D/P, Shadow Ball will probably be special. Ditch it for an elemental punch.
Excuse me if my recommendations suck. I'm a little new to this stuff.

The Aggron ahs been completely reworked. I've taught him Rock Slide, and later I'll go get him subsitute for the subpunch combo. My Skarmory needs fly since it is ingame and I don't feel like biking everywhere. Thanks for the suggesions though, they've really helped.

Because I read the first post.

Edit: I just realized how increadibly low Registeel's Sp/attack is. You might want Seismic Toss>Thunderbolt if you want him to actually dent something.

DDmence used lol

howdodo

will be the best
skarmory@lum berry
roar
toxic
spikes
fly

scizor@salac berry
swords dance
silver wind
metal claw
aerial ace/light screen(probably not)

aggron@choice band
rock slide
earthquake
brick break
double edge/protect/iron tail

steelix is perfect

registeel@leftovers
curse
earthquake
metal claw
aerial ace(i know unusual)

metagross@liechi berry
psychic
agility
shadow ball
aerial ace/brick break/earthquake

Frost Nova

The predator awaits.
howdodo, please stop rating. I'm trying really hard not to laugh right here.

Skarmory@lefties
Impish Nature
- Drill Peck / Aerial Ace
- Roar / Whirlwind
- Spikes
- Rest

Whirlwind switches out pokemon with Soundproof, which Roar can't. Aerial Ace is suggested because Drill Peck and Whirlwind are both egg moves.

Scizor@Liechi Berry
Adamant Nature
- Endure
- Reversal
- Agility
- HP [Ghost] / Steel Wing

Nothing resists HP [Ghost] + Reversal. Steel Wing if you can't get HP [Ghost], and it also gets STAB.

Steelix@lefties
Impish Nature
- EQ
- Iron Tail / Rock Slide
- Toxic / Rest
- Explosion

Standard physical wall.

Registeel@lefties
Adamant / Careful Nature
- Curse
- EQ
- HP [Steel] / Metal Claw
- Rest

Registeel doesn't have that many options. If he learnt Meteor Mash, he would be used more often (hopefully).

KingBattlus

i don't lose
if you really are having troubles with physical tanks and want another special sweeper, try using magneton. his stats are passable, not wonderful, but definitely workable. special attack is awesome so toy with that, try to get a good HP, if possible go for water as it will take down both his weaknesses.
his move selection is horrible though, so finding a good moveset is tough.

magneton- ?? decrease attack, either up sp. attack or defense
thunderbolt
thunder wave
hp water/toxic
metal sound/reflect

or you could try a rain dance set
rain dance
thunder
hp water
thunder wave/reflect/toxic/metal sound

howdodo

will be the best
ok my skarmory was way better than ur so dont think ur better(except for whirlwind) and scizor....well i hate relying on that endure-reversal thing and yeah i did screw up on steelix so whatever

howdodo

will be the best
uh yeah it was toxic and fly is pretty good actually with stab and it wastes 1 turn so toxic does more o plus spikes and whirlwind
