Dark Magic Attack, Skilled Dark Magician, and Diffusion Wave Motion might help you. You might even want to try a Buster Blader so you could have a Dark Paladin.

Ok It does suck... Try and get the Structure Deck 6... asap... and a few DMG's and Magician Circles too...

Toss the deck while your at it, if you are going to have a Warrior Deck, get Structure Deck 5, at Wal-Mart they have the deck, two packs, and a TP6 pack for $18

To put it in a nutshell, a spellcaster deck deck is best revolved around at least one of the following things: the Dark Magician line or using spell cards to add spell counters and such.

So, for example, you can play spell absorption, then set Apprentice Magician. When your opponent attacks, get Magician of Faith. Then flip summon MoF to get a spell card back, tribute MoF for Magical Marrionette and play the spell card to both recover a bit (from Spell Absorption) and give MM a boost. This type of strategy can be used in a very large number of ways (most of the best cards for this are in Structure Deck 6), not the least of which is using Skilled Dark/Light Magician to get Dark Magician and Buster Blader to the field for a fusion summon to the almighty Dark Paladin.

So use that general strategy when constructing a spellcaster deck and you should be fine.
