Is how inconsistent they are with the references! For example







-Why is Brock in his DP outfit one episode and switches back to his OS outfit in the final episodes?



-Why is Misty still in her OS attire instead of her AG outfit?



-I see they finally remembered her Azurill (should be an Azumarill at this point, haven't seen it since 2006!)

-Will they remember/acknowledge Brock's Comfy that he received in Alola?

-Ash's missing Pokemon like Pidgeot, Ambipom and Lapras should be revisited

-Are Misty and Brock going to be with Ash in each episode and will Misty finally meet Dawn, Iris and Serena?

-Is there still a chance for a Wallace Cup competition between May, Dawn, Serena and Chloe?

Yes, it's really strange, but probably writers used the DP outfit only to promote games related to Diamond and Pearl; clearly it's a marketing move.

It's not so strange like about Brock, because Misty had her original outfit also in SM, switching to Alola outfit during the episodes she was with Brock in Alola to visit Ash

This is very inconsistent, since in SM Misty didn't have a Pokémon outside of her Pokéball and Azurill wasn't seen neither in the gym. So there's no reason to make Azurill show up in these 11 episodes only.

Azurill is her Togepi replacement and Pikachu-clone. She got her "PikaBlu" so to speak.

Brock and Misty switching to their OS clothes in SM and again now is silly tbh. Do they do that out of their own in character nostalgia?
