My First Banners

[Literate]

-on PhotoImpact 11. Because my sister and I can't get Photoshop. But this does wonders on banners.

So. Be nice, because these are my first banners I created by tinkering with the program. I'm not a learned banner maker. >.< I'm just a wannabee.

Here are three banners that I made for my stories.

For my one-shot. I used a forest and made it burn. Okay, so I made it turn red and orange.

For my current fiction. Looks misty. I inserted the moon. It looks cool. I also cooled it. Turning it blue.

For my upcoming fiction. I was having trouble on this so I just made it parchment. (Burnt Edges + Hue and Saturation + Crumple) And then stamped it.

I have no renders because I don't use them.

And the program had it's own type of file and JPG is detracting from the goodness of it. It looks the best in BMP.

Wow your banners look really great Literate^^. The second banner looks really awesome^^

JPG and BMP really ruin the quality, so check out twice if you cant change them to PNG or GIF(maybe with another programm).

Way too much text(written) IMO. You could use some patterns/brushes to magnify the effect you want to create.

But unfortunately I dont know the programm you're using, so I cant give you any "useable" advice..

The program I use has a specific type. UFO, I think. I'll try changing it anyway.

But then it'd have totally empty space. Emptyness does not suit me. >.< Well, I don't really know how to use brushes. Without damaging the picture. I think. Patterns? Where do you get those? @.@

I like the first and second banners. The third one seems a bit... plain... in my oppinion, and you can't really see the word "Eternity" or the text above or below it.
Anyway, good job, keep practicing

I was stuck so I just made it parchment. And stamps and text. I know it's plain. I can see the text perfectly fine, actually. Maybe it's my eyesight. Will do! But I'm restricted to the pictures it gives me since I installed it on a computer that has no internet connection and the main computer (the one I'm typing on now) has low memory space. It'd crash if I'd try to put it here. ^.^

I know. I used a picture called Poet's Walk and captured the blossoms and branches and then cooled it and then added the moon. All it says is "Add Moon." 8) So smart the program. It was nearly seventy something bucks.
