Red tailed hawk

I can fly! Can you?
Firstly: There are two sprite limits: 80x80 and 64x64.
Secondly: Read a scratch toturial, and DO NOT use default Paint colors!
Third: The names are a bit lame
Fourth: Read the second again, till you know it by heart.

Why are you mean to me?

everyone is always so mean to me... does anyone understand the words
BE NICE?!
1. i only joined serebii forums 3 or 4 days ago
2. i don't have broadband so i can't download any fancy photoshops
3. you guys are probably all 60 year old men with better things to do
4. and who cares about lame names? i looked at your sprites and they have terrible names!

P.S
sorry for the outburst, it's just that i spent ages making those and you guys are making it sound like i spent 2 seconds on them!

Do you understand the word WORK?! seriously, if you ignore crit, make excuses and fish for compliments. Insulting other people simply from telling the truth really won't win over anyone. Photoshop makes no difference. If you produce crap with ms paint, what chance do you have with a complicated program like photoshop?!

Age and length of membership have about as much to do with your ability as a spriter as the compared length of your thumb and forefinger do!

No-one is saying your lame names are a big problem, just saying they could be improved. Don't use paint default colours, don't use the pencil tool whilst holding down, draw each pixel and finally use shading!

Judging from the extremely crappy effort and attitude i'm going to guess these really did take 2 seconds not hours. Finally, don't give yourself a high rating. That really does scream "NOOB!!!!"

Unlike you, I'm not sorry about this rant, It's time you looked at a tutorial and improved your spriting (if you can call it a sprite.) but more importantly, improve your attitude towards criticism. Fair enough getting angry at reviews like 'Wow i liek em 100/10' which provide no information on how to improve but we give you fair information on how you despratley need to improve and you practically spit it back on us, insulting us cos we refuse to kiss your sorry ***. Next time, take crit, use it to improve and don't insult those who try to help you. Woe betide you if you continue to ignore us...

1. Boo hoo. The 'I'm new' excuse died with the Green sprites.
2. I have broadband and I DON'T download them. All you need is MS Paint. And everyone has that.
3. Comments like that won't make people suddenly think your sprites are amazing and will probably convince them to either not post or take that comment further.
4. Nobodies sprites are bad. There's only the ones which need work, some more than others. Never call anyone's sprites bad, especially when they have taken time and effort to try and help you and give you advice. Your right for one thing; we DO have better things to do with our time. So we're granting you a favor spending our time posting here.

Now, I would really suggest you read a tutorial because your sprites need a lot of work. They are over the size limit, they have no shading, no outline colours, you drew them by holding the pencil tool, and some of the ideas are too basic.

ok, i'm sorry...
but most people don't use constructive criticism, they're just trying to be mean. and i've seen worse sprites than mine getting good reviews.
any more advice is welcome i suppose

I'm 11 and I joined yesterday (I was English avatarman who joined 2 years ago). I can do better than that. They mean use maid colours, but not the prior set ones.

Edit: we're not trying to be mean, we're trying to improve you on the bad parts, we're helping you.

If being rubbish means giving up, then you should've already. If you have a spine you'll try to get better.

I took the time to make a picture and write up some help for you, as it is really the best way to help, by showing:

I hope this helps. The last thing to learn is shaping, but that only comes with time and practice. remember, gamesprites are at an angle. Before making scratch sprites, see if you can find a real sprite in a simalar pose, that will help a lot when you draw and shade it.
Now, try this with another one of your fakes.
If you practice enough, you'll be able to make realistic and complicated fakes that will make everyone go 'wow'. You have the ideas, just need the practice.
See the fine birdmoster in my av? I've been spriting for over a year before i made that. You can't get perfect overnight, so work hard, and good luck.
EDIT: >< It's supposed to say use, not sue. Lol, sue colours from other sprites...
