Hi! I'm new to the serebii forums, though I've used it countless times for about a year. I was wondering if you could help me tweak my team a little. This is the team I've raised from Firered based on a mix of ideas >.>;; (I'm not too great at specific stat raising >.<)

Skarmory @ SkyPlate
Hasty

Spikes
Stealth Rock
Metal Sound
Fly

Arcanine @ Charcoal
Gentle

Flamethrower
Roar
Overheat
ExtremeSpeed

Jolteon @ Leftovers
Calm

Thunderbolt
Quick Attack
Thunderwave
Roar

Alakazam @ Metronome
Modest

Psychic
Shadowball
Reflect
Recover

Blastoise @ Mystic Water
Brave

Rain Dance
Hydro Cannon
Surf
Avalanche

(<3)Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Sassy

Thunderbolt
FlameThrower
Giga Impact
Crunch

I built my team based around, well obviously, spiking and roaring. But when things seem to head down hill, I tried to build my team so I can make a quick turn around, with my roar-ers being uber fast, and then 3 sweepers to try and wipe out the remaining forces.

Hayabusa

Bona fide Narutard.

Skarmory @ SkyPlateLeftovers
HastyImpish

Spikes
Stealth Rock Pick either Spikes OR SR, don't use both on one pokemon
Metal Sound Won't help force a switch, because people will know Skarm won't carry special attacks. Roar instead
Fly No. Brave Bird or Drill Peck.

Arcanine @ Charcoal x1.10 boost items SUCK, don't use them.
GentleJolly/Adamant

Flamethrower No, Flare Blitz. Use his attack, it's better than his sp att.
Roar Ew
Overheat Don't use two fire attacks, you only need 1.
ExtremeSpeed

Jolteon @ Leftovers
Calm Don't use a -att nature when you have an attack there that's not special. Also, calm isn't good for a Jolteon anyway. Use Modest or Timid and no Quick Attack.

Thunderbolt
Quick Attack There isn't any STAB (Same type attack boost- boosts the attacks power by 1.5 times) and no attack boost (like Swords Dance). Don't use it.
Thunderwave
Roar Shadowball would be better. Roar is ok I guess though.

Alakazam @ Metronome EH, the poor man's Choice Specs.
Modest Timid is also a good choice.

Psychic
Shadowball
Reflect Energy Ball, if you're using Choice Specs.
Recover Alakazam can't use Recover well because his HP is very low. Focus on sweeping more. Focus Blast, if CS.

Blastoise @ Mystic Water Again, no.
Brave Why make him slower than he already is?

Rain Dance
Hydro Cannon
Surf
Avalanche

Too many water attacks. Avalanche sucks too. Use Ice Beam/Surf. No Rain Dance, it hurts other members of your team (Arcanine, Tyranitar).

(<3)Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Sassy Use a physical attacking Tyranitar, a special attacking is a waste.

Thunderbolt Taunt
FlameThrower Dragon Dance
Giga Impact Not good. Gives your opponent a free turn if you use it early game. EQ or Stone Edge instead.
Crunch

Get the basics down, then come back. Use your Pokemon what they were meant for. For example, Jolteon can either special sweep, or baton pass stats to other pokemon, not use Quick Attack. Pokemon like Swellow or Zangoose are more suited for Quick Attack. Tyranitar's strongest point is physical sweeping, don't use specials on it (it's a novelty and not very practical). Arcanine should have a Choice Band, a jolly nature and 4 physical attacks. He shouldn't be phazing (Roaring) anything. Blastoise isn't as good this gen, but if you're going to use him, don't put more than 1 water attack. This same rule goes for other pokemon on your team. Don't use more than 1 water attack, fire attack, electric attack... etc. In other words, don't do THIS:

Raichu@Magnet (no)
-Adamant (no), Static
Thunderbolt
Thunderwave
Thundershock (no)
Thunder (no)

-Thunder/Thundershock make this completely redundant. Only have one attack of any given type (there are few exceptions to this rule, like Crunch with Pursuit).

Your team also only has 1 wall (Skarmory). Special attacks will destroy you if you don't have a special wall. Use Blissey, Cresselia (in place of the Alakazam, or Umbreon (not with TTar, obviously) or anything else with good special defense, decent defense and a decent source of HP.

Sweet, it appears I now have a degree in autism. No matter, I had my ideas on what to expect and it seems that those ideas were wrong. At least I'll get better...but to start from 1 and going to 100 again is so hard -.- ...well..more tedious than hard...anywho, I'll take those ideas and implement them, and the redundancy statement is obvious, but I seriously had no idea what to replace those moves with. And to augment my degree from Associates to Doctrate, where can I find choice specs? -.- I dun see "Choice Specs" in Battle Park : /..only bands...
