That's not called a revamp, it's called a Pixel-over. It looks pretty good for a first try, although you might want to try saving it in PNG, not JPG.

.jpg images are a lot more fuzzier. .png is better for sprites. Anyways. The shading doesn't look realistic imo, it looks like....I dunno, plastic? Why is the right side of the leg lighter?

Now that's a revamp...well it's s'posed to be one. Tecnically in a revamp you need to change the shading to it looks like the newer sprites. What you did was just recolor it with the new colors.

It's still .jpg, just pick .png as you're saving it.

Hmm, you're not bad, but not so great either. At least you are getting the hang of it. With some some some practice, you can say "Great spriting leagues, here I go BD" xD

That's cute! Try shading a bit more, specify a light source, let's say superior left. You should shade the inferior right parts, and what you think should be shaded! Also, the outlines, don't make 'em all black, add a little quite dark orange for vulpix. You're getting very good! Way to go, dripdrop! ^_^

i put a little more shading on vulpix...i dont know where to put dark orange outlining so i put a few dots heare and there..where should i put them in particular?
