My game idea

Denjuu

What's the buzz?
I've had this idea for a PC game since 2001, and made sketches for it. It's called FRIDGY D: ELEMENTS OF OLYMPIA. The hero is called Fridgy D. (hence the title...) He is a polar bear-ish kid wearing a blue headband (imprinted with a snowflake), a large light blue t-shirt, tan denim shorts and sneakers. He has the ability to shoot a bullet from his hands that can freeze enemies, in which he can then throw. Now, without further ado...
Here is my game character, Fridgy D!

I will have more info on the game!
So far, what do you guys think?

A simple idea that would probably be quite good as a shorter game that could be played online rather than a longer adventure. He looks like a cereal box character...

You know, like Tony the Tiger from Frosties. Not sure if you have CocoPops in America, but Coco the Monkey. I think you need to deliberate a few more game ideas, like:
Where is it set?
What is the point of the game?

I know what u r talking about. It was your comment.
Anyway, it takes place on a planet called Olympia.

Here is the current plot:
Olympia used to be a peaceful planet thanks to five elements---Peace, Love, Happiness, Trust and Faith. But the introduction of a sixth element, Hate is coaching the awakening of a beast named Nenjiro, the King of Hate. If he awakens, Olympia will be shrouded with darkness and hate and Nenjiro will make his throne.

Fridgy D. along with his fairy friend, Pix are the two one brave enough to save their planet. He must collect the five elements and use their power to defeat Nenjiro. Can he achieve such?

You DO have played too much Lunatea's Veil, ma friend xD. Idea is too much like in Lunatea's ;~;. You should figure out more peculiar plot... Peace, Faith, Happines.... Tranquility, Discord, Joy... And that King of Hate. King of Sorrow, mabye? No, they are WAY too similar.

And that snowflake dude. I think it makes a great game character, though I agree with Anyone 4 Buttons? xD He does look like a cerial box character, but that is not a bad thing, you know :) I think he sholud have slightly more detail, eg a zipper, or somekind of jewl on his neck or arms...

The plot actually reminds me of Spyro. xD

Cool character, though I also agree with this 'cereal character' theory. And like Haunt of the Vile said, you could add something to make him look better.

Considering that this is a career i am looking into(right now im designing the characters for one: Daniel the Chameleon... in progress. Not very good drawings but ill find time to draw them better), id say you have the stuff.

Actually lets see what you have first: - Storyline? check. - Characters? only one but its good for a start. Game Genre? not yet specified. Yeah, you should definitely choose the genre of your game. It will then be easier to figure out how the plot will fit in better. AtM, it sounds like an RPG, but i could easily be wrong.

If this is what youre also looking into, here's what i suggest: selecting the genre, then go into making your storyline/plot(already done, but id also suggest somewhat elaborating it), then create your characters(in other words draw them, as you have clearly done.).

If you keep at it and add more stuff, who knows, maybe you could be the next game designer of the future.

Yeah, he's got it. But The character look like it would just be another unfamiliar platormer star on a Gamecube game that would score a 5.5 in EGM. Everything else sounds fine, but the character itself worries me. he just seems too... simplistic and generic =\

Thanks!
I have a genre already...
Action/Platformer

I have other characters:
Pix: The fairy who is responsible for giving Fridgy D. his powers when he was 9 years old. They have been friends for 5 years now, but even so, Fridgy's stubborn attitude has gotten Pix worried about him at times.

Sentu: A very loyal knight who befriends Fridgy D. Though he is young, he is quite strong in his abilities.

Kendra: A retired dragon soldier who now owns a beach resort. However, monsters have mysteriously appeared, and he desparately asks Fridgy D. to help him get rid of them before they scare away the tourists.

How's that?

Oh :) Those actually sound really interesting, I personally liked that Kendra the best.
Do pictures of those characters, too?

The KumaMon relation again...

OK, KumaMon used to be my favorite Digimon. I loved it so much that I created a character similiar to him. I came up with Fridgy D, though I do not know how I came up with the name (sort of just popped up in my head).

But I still need some boss ideas.
