My humble drawings

These are my freehand drawings. I looked at the Pokedex pictures and I just tried the best I could to do to draw them. Hope you like.

Edit: I really could use some professional tips. Like, how to shade better and draw straighter. Maybe some tips on how to create new poses and make a new style. I'm not to sure how to do this on my own, so I need all the help I can get. @_@

Not too bad. They look pretty true to the originals, but have a different 'feel' to them...I think that it's okay to use references, but not healthy just to strictly 'copy' all of time...It's always better to use some things from the reference (pose, etc.) and apply them to your own original drawings. Or, alternatively, you can try to create your own poses...Just keep working at it.

Yeah, you're right. I did change Swampert's pose a bit. I just lifted him up a bit so he's not on all four legs. That's what i want to do next time, change up the poses. And maybe some other stuff, I'm not too sure either. @_@

A tip for shading: Draw a circle like a sun somewhere on the page and have all the light areas facing towrds the sun and dark areas facing away, thats what I use as my guide sometimes.
