Yeah. You will have to play through Leaf Green/ Fire Red all over again to get another metal coat. Why dont you try snatching a metal coat from a magnemite from Ruby and then trade a pokemon holding that metal coat over to your Leaf Green. I know you'll have to beat the game to make the trade, but still it i'll save you from going all the way to the Sevii islands. That is my opinion though.

Fire Red ~ Hatched a Serious male Meditite and a Timid Snorunt. Time to EV traing them and finish training my Plusle so I can take on the Elite Four and the battle tower place on Seven Island.

In my Fire Red, I beat the Elite Four with Lorelei's team. Now I'm traveling the Sevii Islands.

No I won't. You don't have to have to beat the Elite Four in R/S to trade with FR/LG. And besides, playing through LG would take shorter for me than playing through Ruby.

Yea, since I'm still a beginner trainet (Even though I have 10 Lv.100's) I didn't understand anything about EV's and IV's until a couple of days ago. So I transferred my Pokemon into Diamond and started over in FireRed to EV raise all of my Pokemon from the beginning.

well just training my shiny ivysaur thta is currently lvl 27 i haven't done much how ever. also caught a zubat and will train that

IF you want to have shiny starting pokemon either FR/LG/R/S/E you must start a new game. Prof. Oak will let you choose one pokemon in the table. Don't choose yet. Save first your game. Pick any pokemon you want and Gary will choose too and you will have a fight. If your pokemon is in different color it is shiny pokemon and if not reset the game and choose until you have it....
I tried it many times and I have shiny squirtle in LG and torchic in R/E.;292;

Caught my Safari team of Chansey, Kangaskhan, Dratini, Dodrio, Nidorino and Rhyhorn and planned their moves. Chancey was holding a Lucky Egg, so I guess I'm lucky xD. Its so weird that on FR, the first pokemon I found was a Chancey holding Lucky Egg and on Emerald, teh first pokemon in the Safari Zone I found was a Pikachu with a Light Ball.

So anyway, I'm training my team at the moment.

And it doesn't gives you better chances.

On topic: I managed to get a Male Hardy Eevee in FR by SRing in front of Eevee. Exactly what I wanted.

I decided I wanted an Azumarill trained for physical attacking. So, I'm gonna breed with Poliwags to get a Marill that has Huge Power ability and knows Belly Drum. It's a shame that water is all special attacks until 4th gen; I'd love to give it Waterfall or something, but noooo...
