You're My Man Of War
It wasn't always like this. I used to have a lot. Friends. Family. Money. But now I was just left with four friends, all of them with me, sitting round the table in the living room.
"So, do any of you want tea?" I asked, as they all nodded after a few seconds of groggy glares. I walked through to the kitchen to go make us some tea, and the other four began their own little conversation in near silence. I knew how they liked their teas and have for a while now. Dave prefers one sugar no milk; Emma enjoys 2 sugars and cream; Arthur was a fan of milk and no sugars, and Connor would be found with no milk and 3 sugars. I found it unusual, but I digress. I stirred the last of the teas (myself preferring milk and 2 sugars), and bought Arthur's and Emma's tea into the living room.
"Here you 2 go." I said cheerily. They had stopped conversing once I had entered the room oddly enough. But I continued, giving Dave and Connor their tea, before going back for one last trip and getting my own. "So, have any plans for the weekend anyone?" Again, silence. This worried me as I was more than sure they had talked about me when I had left them to make tea. But I decided to put that worry aside, and began drinking my tea. I guessed they had all decided to play the silent game, but must have asked if I wanted to play when the kettle was boiling. I didn't mind much I didn't like that game much as I always lost at it. But even so, I finished my tea and noticed none of the others had started theirs. I looked at them all and smiled, saying
"You must all be very dedicated to your little game." I realised just how I could take advantage of this, taking their teas and finishing them myself. I found them quite different to how I had usually had mine, but it was still pleasant. I looked at my watch and saw that it was 11:45. I gasped in shock. I hurriedly grabbed my bag and went back to the table.
"Sorry amigos, but I must be getting off soon. So let's please wrap this up." I grinned, going into my backpack, and as I pulled the machete across their necks, I felt it. The rush of adrenaline I needed. The feeling of killing someone. The feeling of killing an entire family, one by one. Not like they could do much with the ropes entangling them and the tape around their mouth's. I walked towards the back door, but decided to look back one more time, and the looks on their faces made me laugh. I did try to come visit again, but the Police had come over a couple of weeks later when a neighbour found them. Oh well, they were boring by then anyway.
So, next time I have a little tea party with friends, would you like to come along?
