(Link coming soon...)

I'll be doing more pokemon based on Mexico and it's animals. I'm also going to be doing redesigns of old pokemon as regional differences.

I know the art isn't perfect, but I'm not posting the pictures here for that. I'm posting it here for the idea and what I've drawn. Tell me what you like and if there's anything different I should do.

And I know Skrattle looks odd. I forgot the neck. :I

I hope I'm not breaking any rules, though. :S

UPDATE: Ok, so I have permission to double post on this thread in order to update this post further. Stand by for edit...

I. F.E.E.L. G.O.O.D.
this is racist :/

How is this racists, they're pokemon based on Mexican native wildlife & things.

Anyways, you should do a ghost type based on a floating sugar skull to represent el dia de los muertos, and a dancing viejito marionette doll or mask those are cool.
Do a creature based on el Chupacabras. And your legends can be based on Aztec mythology like Quetzalcoalt the serpent god, and the Aztec Caldenar, have one be like a rock type aztec pyramid shaped legendary.

Yeah the drawings need some work, but practice makes better so keep at it, trace existing pokemon or animal pictures so you get a feel of how creature anatomy works and all that, but it's a nice idea I'm from Mexico too!

Thanks for the backup there, Boss Giygas. I'm Mexican, so I fail to see the logic behind that claim.

Yes, I've already figured out most of those things to implement in the dex. And I've already plotted out most of the Ghost types here and I'm limitting it to just four families. My only hindrance is how to go about the 'Dias de los Muertos' fakemon, but I usually go into research when I hit such problems.

Yeah, I'm aware of the not so fantastic drawing. But I'm more concerned about the idea presented rather than the style of the art. I will try to get better, though. Anatomy is a problem on my part, but I'm learning.

Thanks for the comment, though. I'm drawing more soon, and the next picture will feature a pokemon based on Aztec statues.

Ehehe, I like it, especially the axolotl and the iguana/lizard starter! That'd be a fun game to play. What are you planning on doing for a legendary?

I love the bird starter line and is that... an axolotl <3 :D

The voodoo poncho and the pinata are really great :)

I really love these so far. My only thing to say is that a certain snakey thing looks a lot like a sperm cell :\ and teh wrestler looks more human than pokemon.

Yes, epic shark really is epic.

Glad you like them. I bet it'll be hard to choose between them. o:

Also glad you like those two. The pinata is forgetable to me, but glad to see someone likes him.

In response to your snake thing, don't all snakes look like that? And I tried to avoide that with them as best as I could. Sorry for letting you down.

Added more to first post, along with a crap more information.

I just had time to see the starters before heading to school, so lemme say htis, the designs are actually pretty interesting. I like how they're nice and detailed and all. Your form is what needs some improvement, instead of drawing the outlines first, draw the structure beneath them, maybe with a different colored pencil, and then draw the normal fakemon on top of that, it will help you with proportions and overall a better look. Why a different color? Because that way you can erase that specific color very easily in photoshop and all you have left is your drawing. In any case whether or not you chose to do that, I recommend studying a bit of that, shape and structure. You already have the hardest thing to conquer, a bit of imagination :)

Thank you for the words. I actually started drawing the body shapes before drawing the actual pokemon and it's really helped. Can't say I'll try that photoshop option soon. I will when I make something of the dex when it's completed. For now, I'm trying to get the sketches of the whole dex down first.

Thank you for the comment, though. I'm glad you like the designs. c:

Those fakemon were all really clever and creative. The Mexican theme gives alot of possibilities for new Pokemon.

I especially liked Pinhed, Knitwit, and those 3 Water/Ghost types as well.
Very, very creative designs for them.
