• Hi all. We have had reports of member's signatures being edited to include malicious content. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and we can find no indication that the forums themselves have been compromised.

    However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar logins on multiple sites, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

    We always recommend using unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication if possible. Make sure you are secure.

My Netgear Genie has a Runtime Error

I've tried uninstalling Netgear before reinstalling, but it won't let me uninstall. I don't know who to contact about this, nor do I know what made this error show up on my desktop.

Runtime Error!

Program: ... NETGEAR B44 Monitor Temporary
Items/NetgearGenieSvr.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

^ That's what the error prompt keeps saying. Has anyone had an issue with Netgear Genie like this one? Can I have some specific instructions?

That is a compatibility issue with your OS and the programming of the Netgear software you're installing.

What is your OS? if it is XP, I found this hotfix with a google search.
