I really wanted to use Espeon because in Doubles it has saved me so many times with Dual Screens. Then I thought of a good sweeper who can benefit from Dual Screens, so how about Cloyster, who needs to lower its defenses in order to sweep due to Shell Smash. From there I thought of Mienshao, who makes a great lead, resists Dark for Espeon and Rock for Cloyster and can heal itself just by switching out with Regenerator. Mienshao having U-Turn meant that Scizor had to make an appearance from somewhere due to synergy with the whole team because of tag-team U-Turning. Steel/Bug Typing meant that it has only once weakness and many resistant’s and some useful immunities. Rotom-W was one that resisted Scizor’s weakness to fire, and I have heard many good things about the Washing machine so why not give it a shot? Going back to Cloyster, there’s no doubt that he is powerful, but like nearly every sweeper he is easily revenge killed. So who can revenge kill the revenge killer? How about a classic that I have used in the 4th gen; Flygon. In addition he resists electric which my team has no resistance to without Flygon.

Xiao @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
- Fake Out
- Hi Jump Kick
- Taunt
- U-Turn
Mienshao, one of the most reliable leads in the 5th Gen. It gets Fake Out which always causes flinching to anything that does not have Inner Focus or Quick Guard. With 125 Base Attack and Life Orb, Fake Out is the best way to deal easy, yet effective, damage. For more power, Xiao has Hi Jump Kick which now surpasses Close Combat being 130 Base Power. Of course the recoil is doubtful but it’s only going to miss once every ten times anyway. Taunt is great for any team but is even better when the lead is using it as it can stop entry hazards from coming in early in the game. U-Turn is the next thing. It can do some pretty good damage and is perfect for scouting which will allow the rest of the team to know what they switch into. In addition to scouting, U-Turn also activates Regenerator which keeps Xiao relatively healthy despite low defenses. It’s not like Xiao is going to be taking direct hits anyway as it will spend most of its time scouting and finishing things off with Hi Jump Kick before they can touch this martial artist. Regenerator is still useful however as it shrugs off residual damage from weather, entry hazards, life orb recoil and possible Hi Jump Kick recoil.

Toby @ Light Clay
Ability: Magic Bounce
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 HP/ 4 SpA/ 252 Spe
- Reflect
- Light Clay
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
I believe Espeon to be the best user of Dual Screen in the game. Why? Magic Bounce. Not only can it not be taunted and hence be prevented from setting up Dual Screens, but it stops Toxic, Thunder wave, Roar, Stealth Rock, Leech Seed, you name it. Of course Xatu can do the same thing as well however what really puts Espeon apart is its Base 110 Speed. It’s basically Latias but with Magic Bounce. Dual Screens really assist the team a lot. It will make it a lot easier for Cloyster to set up Shell Smash, and Scizor will have a much easier time switching in to enemy attacks. Espeon also has a few offensive options as well. At LV50, it has 146 SpA, which is pretty good with almost no SpA EV investment. Psychic is its best STAB next to Psyshook, which is not used because of the threat of Conkeldurr. Shadow Ball is used next to take out Ghost Types, notably Jellicent, knowing that his only option against Espeon is to attack it because it blocks all its other moves with Magic Bounce.

091.gif

Lollipop @ Life Orb
Ability: Skill Link
Nature: Jolly
Evs: 4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
- Shell Smash
- Icicle Spear
- Rock Blast
- Razor Shell
I guess that in the 5th gen Cloyster has finally come out of his shell…. Haha, get it? IDK, but the point is that this thing is a beast. I named it Lollipop just to mock the opponent. It uses Shell Smash which puts it up to something like 574 Atk and 500 Spe (assuming that Ivs are good, but this thing has been IV bred so it will have max Atk at least.) which is enough to take out an entire team. In addition it always gets 187 Base Power out of Icicle Spear due to Skill Link. In addition, it can break Substitutes meaning that Pokémon such as Breloom and Whimsicott won’t give it as much trouble. These factors make Cloyster a very unique sweeper, but like every sweeper, it has its downfalls. Water/Ice is not really a great defensive type as it is weak to Rock, Fighting and Electric; three very common attack types for OU revenge killers such as Thundurus, Infernape and Lucario. Cloyster also hates entry hazards, taking 25% damage from Stealth Rock alone. To remedy this, Xiao does a good job at stopping entry hazards with Taunt, and just in case Toby (Espeon) can reflect them with Magic Bounce. Yes Cloyster will be revenge killed but Ditto can easily revenge kill them. Dual Screens also makes it easier for Cloyster to set up which in a way makes up for the defense drops caused by Shell Smash.

RotoW @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Spa/ 252 Spe
- Hydro Pump
- Thunderbolt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Volt Switch
Water/Elec is great typing both offensively and defensively. Hydro Pump and Thunderbolt will hurt a lot of things, and it even turns the tables around if this thing is in the Rain. Against Sand it can now stand up to Tyranitar and burn it with Will-O-Wisp. Will-O-Wisp and Reflect will make this team very sturdy against physical attackers Volt Switch is another move that annoys the opponent as now I have Mienshao, Scizor and Flygon with U-Turn and Rotom-W with Volt Switch, which makes this team really good for scouting.

212.gif

Hassamu @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 248 HP/ 252 Atk/ 8 Spe
- Bullet Punch
- U-Turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit
Scizor maintains a strong position in the 5th gen as it did in the 4th gen in the fact that nothing has changed about it; it gained nothing and lost nothing. However the metagame has changed around it; In addition to Magnizone it has to now watch out for Chandelure and Wobbuffet, the latter which has now been let into OU. New Physical threats have evolved around it such as Conkeldurr and it now has Jellicent and Nattorei to get in the way. However Scizor can still to a good chunk of damage to Nattorei with Choice Band STAB U-Turn, and whilst Conkeldurr has Guts, Scizor has Technician to boost its priority move and it gets Pursuit to deal with Ghosts and Psychics; something that Conkeldurr struggles with. Scizor also provides a large amount of resistances to this team, taking Ghost, Dark and Bug moves aimed at Espeon, Psychic attacks aimed at Mienshao, Grass Moves aimed at Rotom-W and Cloyster, and Dragon and Ice moves aimed at Flygon. Also the fact that it has U-Turn makes it a great partner for Flygon, Mienshao and Rotom-W. The 4 of them can just keep U-Turning and Volt Switching to confuse the opponent making them think what I will switch into next, whilst in the meantime their Pokémon are becoming weaker and weaker due to the constant hits they must take from U-Turn and Volt Switch.

330.gif

Flygun @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 4 SpA/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- U-Turn
- Fire Blast
Flygun makes a leap make into the position of “useful” now that Garchomp is no longer here to outclass it. Whilst other stronger and faster Dragons such as Lati@s and Salamence still roam out there, Flygon has something that they do not; Ground/Dragon Levitate and U-Turn. As I have explained, U-Turn gives this team synergy. But what is noticeable about Flygun is its incredibly useful typing. It will take Rock and Electric attacks aimed at Cloyster, and Ice attacks aimed at Scizor. Also notice how Scizor and Flygon resist each others weaknesses? This makes them great together on the same team. Outrage and Earthquake are Flyguns STAB options and they can do some pretty good damage, whilst Fire Blast is primarily for Nattorei. In the 4th gen I have used Thunderpunch in the 4th moveslot for Gyarados; however he apparently has taken a break in this gen.

Now that you have read that:
Hopefully you get the idea of this team: Mienshao, Scizor, Flygon and Rotom-W all keep switching in and out whilst attacking at the same time, which results in the opponents HP steadily declining. The above 4 will do their job whilst looking for a good chance to send in Cloyster (say on a Blissey or bulky water). When the opportunity arises, Cloyster will come in instead of the 4 mentioned above. His job is to set up Shell Smash and sweep as much of the opponents team as possible. Should he fail to get the whole job done, then the above 4 will finish it and clean up. Espeon’s job is to protect the team by providing extra bulk through Dual Screen and by keeping away entry hazards and statuses like Thunder Wave which will severely hamper this team.

On Mienshao i suggest using HP ice over taunt. It makes him into a nice check to gliscor, mence, and possibly dragonite depending on its current hp. You have espeon to bounce the stealth rock to the opponents team which is more useful than stopping him from using it.

Why have taunt? Switch in to Espeon when you anticipate an entry hazard. Stone Edge for another powerful coverage move instead.

Your Espeon isn't meant to kill, it's meant to dual screen. When they wear off, you want a form of recovery to set up both screens.

A couple things to note about this team. It is heavily offensive, and relies on the speedy U-Turns and Wild Charges to go circles around your opponent. Any successful set up from other Pokemon can really destroy what this team is meant to do. You should really think about some defensive cores to add to this, and since this team is meant for scouting and causing you and your opponent to return, your very own entry hazards and a spinner could really be useful.

A simple mis prediction can very easily cause the down fall of this team. I highly suggest finding some room for more defensive folks rather than moving too heavily on the offense.

Overall, I must admit the team looks very well structured.

A simple mis prediction can very easily cause the down fall of this team. I highly suggest finding some room for more defensive folks rather than moving too heavily on the offense.

I see what you mean, but I do not know what to replace. I think some of my best options would be Nattorei, Gliscor, Hippowdon, Jellicent and Swampert, but I really do not know what to replace for any of them. I mean, Flygun could probably leave but do you have any other suggestions?

What I suggest would be to Make that Rotom a defensive variant, and add in a Ferrothorn somewhere in place of it. To me, it seems as if Scizor and Flygon are mean't for the exact same role. Both to scout, and revenge kill. I'm leaning toward removing Scizor, but that will lose a counter for Reuniclus. OR You can replace Cloyster with Ferrothron since all it takes is a simple attack, and 1 layer of entry hazards to take it out. And, Change your Scizor set into this:

Scizor @ Leftovers/ Life Orb
Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
Technician
252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 SpD
- Roost
- Bug Bite
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
This set will work with Flygon much better. With your banded set, you don't get the defenses you may need to take a nice strong attack on a predicted switch, and this set will give just that! This Scizor laughs at Pokemon that try to hit Flygon with an Ice Attack, and bring it in against a set up fodder.

And, for Flygon, Fire Punch > Fire Blast
I am starting to see a good amount of specially based Ferrothorns now, and Fire Blast just doesn't have that Power to work with Flygon.

And, even though you have Espeon only for Cloyster, he can still help out your Scizor to get up at least 1 Swords Dance.

Ok then! Thanks!

Heres what I might do from everyones comments:

Mienshao: Taunt to HP Ice
Espeon: Shadow Ball to Morning Sun
Cloyster: Replaced with Nattorei
Rotom-W: Leftovers to Life Orb, Volt Switch to Pain Split
Scizor: CB to Bulky Swords Dance
Flygon: Fire Blast to Fire Punch
