Break it after a year, contact Nintendo. They are very nice when it comes to Customer Support and often extend the warranty of a system. ;D If not, you'll prolly have to buy a new one. Nintendo is known for making good systems that don't break easily, trust me. I've had me DS since day 1 and my Sister has dropped it countless times (Until I bought her own one for her) and I have yet to have a problem with mine. ^^
