Very cool. The first two look like they were made of metal though. I like the last two alot.

I disagree.They are a disaster O_O.Look how tyrantar has dark shades on it's head.And the salamence has black in its shading.The dusclops has two different colour on the same place.And the Dragonite...it has random uncoloured pixels.Since it is your first attemp, well, just try to follow the tutorials..

And to add to that, saving it as JPEG ruins the sprites, save it as PNG instead, and it'll look better straight away.

what the hell were you smoking when you recoloured salamence.It was better the first time( but that ones is crummy too.)
Recolouring is te simplest spriting thing you can do and you still managed to screw it up.
You haven't taken the advice about jpg files (You can't just save it as a different format cos the jpg artifacts will remain, you need to clean them up manually.
It also looks like you inverted the shading. It was fine before so just leave it. Seeing as you butchered these ones, I suggest you start again with some simpler ones. Look at a tutorial too.

The next person who says they suck without giving a reason is officialy a morron. Not that the people who said it before aren't.

"They suck! Omg!" etc isn't helping him get any better. For all he knows you can't even see the sprites and could just be saying they suck.

Now, you need to read a tutorial about recolouring because these are quite bad and if you can't recolour to even some extent then you'll never get anywhere in spriting. the one major tip I'd give you is to recolour the outlines properly and not destroy them.

Never save as anything except .PNG and .GIF (ONLY WHEN USING GIMP OR ANOTHER TRANSPARITISER!) and NEVER use default paint colours which it looks like you may have done.

Oh, and there's sonething about the second Tyranitar and Dusclops, like they used some advanced tool to make their shading blurry or something.

They are Classic bad. Hardly any shading and Dusclops is 2 different colours.

They're not brilliant, but its a start. If you're using photobucket try and use paint, it can be less confusing! Start by getting one colour, not a default one, and making it lighter then darker. Then you need to work out which one matches with the colours already on the sprite. Don't worry though, you'll figure it out
