I think you should teach gardevoir somethin other that fire punch, since you already have a fire poke.
My recommendation is teach it Snatch, Shadow Ball, or Toxic. Or maybe even Return. I've used it and it's pretty powerful

But yeah, Will-o-wisp/Hypnosis may be better than Fire Punch.

No, don’t teach it Shadow Ball. Shadow Ball is a physical attack and like I just said, Gardevoir and physical attacks don’t mix. Wait until D/P if you want to teach Shadow Ball to Psychic types.

ill just go to that guy in fallarbor town
and my morals are that i dont breed pokemon for desired moves...i dont breed them if i need them to learn a move at an earlier stage...i dont use ubers...taht kind of stuff

Don't use fire punch on Garde if you have a blazeiken.

Use ice punch insted!
(Works for me!)

Gardy is one of my fave pokemon. (If only if it could recover without dream eater!)
You could also use any of the following, for a defence perpose (Nearer to top = better):

Thunder wave
Will-o-whisp
Toxic
Attract
Hypnosis
