My theory about D/P...

sdp

Pokemon Master
didn't really know where to put it, but I beleive D/P will take place in the near future, the same way G/S were,
the time machines could be back and work similar to the way they did in G/S and that is how you'll trade pokemon from older games to the new ones. Of course this also means characters from G/S will not appear since they'll be busy in Johto which would be happening at the same time as D/P (the same way FR/LG and R/S/E take place around the same time).

Of course this brings a interesting question, if it is like that then Nintendo might release a re-make of G/S with the D/P engine, it makes a lot of sense both will be set at the same time, they can rehash G/S with the D/P engine and giving fans what they've been whining about since FR/LG and allowing for more G/S pokes for people without Colosseum/XD, no to mention the DS internal clock, and the theories about D/P also bringing back day/night etc. of course we wouldn't see those until once D/P have already had year(s) to shine for themselves. You also have to count all the Johto references in both FR/LG and r?S/E

who knows maybe you can re-visit Hoenn from Shinou!

of course this post was most likely inspired by Kein (avid researcher).

What if you could visit Every region from Shinou? After you beat Shinou, go to Hoenn, then to Jhoto, then Kanto.

It has been proven that will NOT happen.

wel, i reckon diamond and pearl will be in the gold and silver stages, but i hope it does go back to the the red blue and yellow region, and then straight to the emerald, status, because at the moment all these new pokemon haev been in the gold and silva regions, but i reckon theres going to be more new pokemon, why would they keep amkuign new games, and stuff without making more than 30new pokemon, i hope its liek when they create 150new pokemon(druel) Oh yeah whatcha reckon the new pokemon in front of the box will be, i r3eckon celebi and jirachi!

The Pokemon on the box will probably be two Pokemon yet to be revealed.

Though they won't do it, going back to Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn would be awesome!

Even though that may sound awesome, It would get farely tiring and rather dismal, if you ask me.

Plus, I don't think there'd be enough memory in one cartridge to hold all of that.

Uhh.. At this point, I think focusing solely on Shinou (or, at the very least, wait for it to even come out) is the best thing to do. No talk of GSC Remakes or visiting old lands when the new land hasn't even been unraveled.

As for time placement, again, we can't say if it'll be the spiritual sequel to RSE or brand-new games.

Like BrokenBible said, the cartrage fit in and would have a large piece sticking out to hold memory for all the regions.
OR, you go to hoenn and to go to johto and kanto you have to put in a game boy cartrage included with the game.

This generation seems to have many parallels even now with the second generation: firstly, these games claim to feature a fair number of pre-evolutions and evolutions as "new" Pokemon, just as the second generation did, which based off of which Pokemon we have seen so far seems to hold true. Furthermore, this generation is the fourth to arrive, and considering the similarities between how much R/B/Y and R/S/E were defined as their own games as opposed to being somewhat of a subset of a game, this generation could very well piggyback off of the success of Hoenn's heyday, elaborating and expanding it.

Yet, in perspective, there are more than a few marketing reasons why such a plan would not be the best of ideas. The worst of all is that despite how much the United States have an overall positive attitude of G/S/C - heck, I have friends that dislike the franchise as a whole yet still cherish this period in its evolution - Japan did not take to it very well at all. Furthermore, Johto did not feel as much as a region for many as it did an extension of Kanto, what with essentially the same graphics and evolution tie-ins from the older generations leaving Johto few Pokemon to claim an indigenous right to having. Even then, some of the more popular ones such as Houndour weren't even found in Johto; rather, Gamefreak stuck them in Kanto for who knows what reason.

From this light of sensibility, one can see why Gamefreak would be foolish to make this an essential G/S/C remake. I'm all for giving those neglected Johto Pokemon their own abode before you arrive at the Elite Four - I'm glad already to see that Sneasel and Sudowoodo will be making such an appearance, and being able to use a Houndour before completing the in-game quest made XD very memorable for me - yet, at the same time, Shinou seems like it will be a full-fledged region in its own respect. The trainers show a distinct contrast to the conformity exhibited by the past protagonists, the region itself will be rendered in a relatively spectacular 2.5D, and the designs of those Pokemon unique to the region suggest that they will hold a stylistic design unlike the plain Kanto Pokemon, the homey Johto Pokemon, or the rambunctious Hoenn Pokemon. Considering just how much this game means for Nintendo and the DS, it is very unlikely that they will compose Gold and Silver version 2.0 for these two upcoming games.

.
So...a DS carterage can fit the entire first Resident Evil game, But can't hold a 2D-ish pokemon game with 4 regions?

I can say with 99 percent confidence that there will not be a GSC remake. Wanna know why? Because all of the GSC pokemon have been made readily available in both XD and Colosseum as well as FrLg and Emerald. There. There's no point to go back to Johto.
