[IMG139]http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r200/ff810/joker-laugh.gif[/IMG139]The only real issue is if Nintendo would be willing to look like such a money hog that it'd do such a thing.
Thing is, first and second gen were in no way compatible with 3rd gen and so on, so I guess that's the reason for such remakes, remaking 3rd Gen would be redundant since 3rd Gen onwards are all compatible in some way, that's just what I think though.

We could get every single 2nd gen Pokemon in the 3rd Gen (R/S/E/FR/LG/Col/XD) and that didn't stop them form making HeartGold and SoulSilver.
I think that HeartGold and SoulSilver were conspicuously timed with the arrival of the DSi for a reason. I'm not totally sure about this, but I think it'd be possible now to catch 'em all using just the fourth gen. So Nintendo finally "cut them off."
Grargh, waste of a thread.
Reported.
Nintendo isn't going to give up on extra cash if they don't need to make a new game engine nor make up a new storyline/Pokémon.
