If you haven't noticed already, every series there's been two starters that are dual typed, and one that's mono-typed. (Not counting GSC.) In RBY it was Blastoise, and in RSE it was Grovyle. So perhaps we'll get a monotype fire starter?

Torchic23

gee that's swell
No!!!! I hope not, fire types do well dual typed but it kinda sucked when flying pokemon attacked my Blaziken so perhaps a mono fire type woulden't be so bad

Typhlosion was awesome, but I think that Fire needs to find itself in more amalgams with other types. It has too many pures, and it could certainly do with being combined to more special types (I can only think of Houndoom when it comes to Fire/Special Pokemon). The starter allows us a great opportunity for it; I would rather not make this Fire starter a mediocre and forgettable Pokemon. Plus, I don't think Nintendo would do this since the current trend points towards making Pokemon as out-of-the-box as possible.

"Not counting GSC"? WTF? If you're going to make such a statement, you need to freakin' include EVERY generation. That means, your "theory" flounders horribly.

I sincerely believe something happening two times out of three is not an indication of the future.

right. ¬¬;
I believe the dual-typings are merely coincidental.
Agreed. We'll get whatever gamefreak gives us

I seriously doubt that there is any kind of pattern to the starters.
seeing as they said though that there will be several new type combos i'll say that at least one starter will have a type combo.

Can't you guys be a little less rude?

And Locke and said the 2nd generation retard.

It's not much of a trend if it skips an entire generation. I cannot settle on a tendency that resolves only 67% of the time, and neither will any other reasoning human being. Ergo, the quintessence of your misguided hypothesis had been shattered from its sheer instability before you even proposed it.

Rofl. Hypocrisy. I don't believe anyone here was being rude at all. You just can't take people disagreeing with you. Also, what was the point of calling Locke a "retard", hypocrite? You now have a warning. :>

Wow. A theory that's based on a 2 out of 3 statistic. 2 out of every three days, I don't get into a fight with someone. Yet, amazingly, I got into a fight with someone today. But, no one cares about that ONE time, so it just DOESN'T mean it'll ever happen again, despite the fact it's been proved it CAN and WILL happen.

Sound familiar? Yeah, sorry, but your theory isn't too b'iness.

Anyways, here's my opinion: There's supposed to be a lot of type combos this genreation. I'm gonna bet on 2 mixed Pokes. There ya' go, no "theory", just what a REAL educated surmisition is.

How are you not being rude? And Double Flux, what did you base your theory on? 0/3 games. Nice "educated" guess. Or if you say cause in the past we had 2/3 pokes dual (not including GSC) then that's only 67%.

****ing *****.

I don't know, but I hope that all three starters have dual type.
