My top three biggest let downs in Pokemon...

3. Poison losing its super effectiveness to Bug
I mean REALLY. Why did they do this? Poison is already underpowered, and they have to go and make it MORE underpowered?

2. Masquerian not being Water/Bug

It was the perfect combo, and then they had to go and make it a generic Bug/Flying type. Idiots.

1. Magneton not having Levitate
So much potential. But having a 4x weakness to the most common ground attack that mostly everyone uses renders Magneton useless. I mean really...

I'm kind of glad Magneton doesn't have levitate, but then again.. it's one Pokemon I'd never think of using, so I can understand why people who like it would be upset. n_n;

My 3 biggest let-downs are:

1. Seeing so many baby Pokemon in D/P. (I just hope we've seen the last of them now, but there'll probly be more... Not that Munchlax and Manene aren't adorable. I just don't like how weak baby Pokemon tend to be. n_n; )

2. The way Milotic looks in Colloseum and XD. Ick... She looks better as a sprite.

3. Umbreon's insanely weak attack power.

My 3 biggest let-downs are:

1)The looks of venusaur in colloseum/XD

2)Not many fire type pokemon

3)Too many water type pokemon

1- Metagross not having "lavitate ability".
Well metagross can float so we dosen't it have lavitate ability?
2- Charizard not being that strong like in anime.
Well it's a huge let down realy you see it in the an ime so strong but in games....not much.
3- Not many ghost types.
Well why didn't they put more ghost pokes.....

1.No ghost ledendaries
Come on,it would be cool to have a ghost type ledendary, and let it have signature attacks.
2.Grass moves
There is flamethower, thunderbolt, ice beam, surf, each with 95 power and 100% accuary. But grass types don't have this kind of move.Although they have solarbeam, but it takes a turn. And many grass types aren't very suitable to do Sunny Day+Solarbeam(fire types will kill them easily).Groudon can,but its special attack sucks. So I hope there will be a 95 power 100% accuary grass move.Leaf blade is the best one now,but only Grovlye and Sceptile have it.
3.Charizard
Charizard has a good attack movepool and can learn swords dance. But its attack isn't that great. It's special attack is fairly good, but it can only have fire attacks and hidden power. It doesn't have a goood special attack movepool. What a shame.

Caterpie, Metapod, Weedle, Kakuna, Wurmple, Cascoon, Silcoon.
All though I think Caterpie and Kakuna look decent, they are all pointless. Even their evolved forms are unusable yet look so cool. Except Dustox.

Pokémon voices in anime.
Basically all sound the same.

Pathetically short routes.
Make 'em longer.

1) Steelix

It looks like a powerhouse, but an earthquake can take it down =/

2)Contests
They look far better in the anime, but feh, the game comes before the anime, they just made slight changes that made it better, I guess =S

3)Sprites:
The Sprites of Ruby and Sapphire were awful, in my oppinion, which was a let down...

AJ Flibble

Emohawk
The Elite Four in GSC
In RBY, it was actually challenging, especially in Yellow, but Lance's team of all dragons (every Pokemon he has is Flying type), and the sheer patheticness of most of the teams (except for Karen... she ruled all) made it a farily boring affair.

Poliwrath
I know it can be good, but I didn't raise it right at the time, it's just so offensively weak compared to the other Fighting types.

What happened to Gyarados in GSC
That loss in Special Attack was a travesty, it totall ruined him IMO.

MechaBulba

King of the Monsters
1. Gyarados being a flying type not a dragon!

2. How about 1/4 of the 2nd gen pokemon where some how a pre evo or evo of the 1rst gen pokemon.

3. How hardly any pokemon since the 1rst gen have had the classic pokemon looks and feel 2 it. They seem 2 be getting more and more cartoonish with random patterns and colours and shapes all overthem unlike the realistic animal like pokemon of the 1rst gen! ;078; ;049; ;136; ;097;

I just wanna say that imo Magneton and Umbreon are awesome an Onix can almost survive 2 Earthquakes from a Metagross, let alone Steelix.

My biggest letdowns are:
1)Chansey evolving. Chansey was almost uber in RBY and it was on literally every single team. Chansey had a huge HP. Not only that, but Chansey had BASE 105 SPECIAL ATTACK! That is a higher Special attack than Mew! When we all discovered that Chansey would evolve I remember the outrage because if Chansey would get any stronger, it would be uber. Then, to our horror, Chansey's base special attack gets cut into 3. Yep, it went from a whopping 105, down to a feeble 35. Chansey could not special sweep anymore. Even though, Blissey was still uber. A similar thing happened with Pokemon like Mewtwo, Gyrados, Blastoise, Cloyster, Exeggcutor, Arcanine, although, not to the same scale.
2)Pokemon collosseum. The game itself was good(ish). If it was on the gameboy, it would be excellent. Milotic, Dratini, Venusaur, Numel, Sunflora, and loads of other looked terible. Worst of all was Hariyama (shudders). No rentals was the most dissapointing thing.
3)Charizard...

Magneton not having levitate
It even says in the pokedex magneton LEVITATES above the ground
I don't have any more upsets

~Shadow Espeon~

I did it!!
1-Charizard not being a Fire/Dragon type which are the only types that make sense.
2-The 4th generation pokemon. Only buizeru looks nice. The others are kinda boring in my opinion.
3-HO-OH! I loved it since I first saw it and then when I got it in collo it was the most awful pokemon I had trained making me Ho-Oh hater no. 1

1. Mightyena's battling ability. We finally get a wolf Pokemon, and the poor thing gets shafted in favor of yet ANOTHER generic boring weasel?
2. Typhlosion's movepool. We have Fire Moves and Thunderpunch, now where's Crunch dammit?
3. Charizard's fanbase.

1. Kingdra's pathetic movepool: Kingdra had alot of potential, but they gave it a horrible movepool.

2.Baby Pokemon: they suck, baby pokemon are useless, and friendship evolutions are annoying.

3.Contests: I hate Contests, but to get a gold Trainer Card, i have to win em' all.Contests would be better and more exciting if they were like they were in the anime.

I personally think that Mightyena is a hyena. He IS known as the bite pokemon, and hyenas DO have the most bite force pound for pound. Just wait, when there is a wolf, he will be GREAT. Anyway, I am mostly disappointed by Mightyena as well. He looks so good, but is so mediocre. A waste of a super cool design.

Y-know that makes since. I've always thought of Mightyena as a wolf too, but your explanation makes lots of sense. Also look at his name:

Might-YENA
H-YENA

Anyway, back on topic:
1. Slaking- Uhhg truant is so irritiating! The pokemon would be so much more awesome if it wasn't for that damn ability! Then again, it keeps him from being uber so I guess it's kind of a good thing.

2. Kingdra- I love him! My favorite dragon, but it's too bad that they haven't made a stronger dragon move (one that doesn't require claws). Then Kingdra would be a much better special attacker. Although Dragon Breath has come in handy in the Battle frontier. Maybe they'll come out with something in DP.

3. Charizard- 'nough said. No offence to his fans!

Supreme Overlord
3. Glalie, Lunatone, Magnemite/ton, and the Beldum line not having levitate.

2. Not ever having a cheat in R/B/Y where you could go into the off-limit woods.

1. D/P taking so long!

All the bloody babies are up there too but I do like Elekid and Maenene

i agree with Blazichu except for 1 [i haven't played colleseum]
1) Charizard being Fire/Flying instead of Fire/Dragon

Because he is all ready very good, the last thing we need is him levitating also. By the way, here is my letdown.

LEVITATE. WTF, Ground all ready could not hit flying type Pokemon, why did we need to give levitate also, now GENGAR is invulnerable too, it is a travesty.
